O.O

That looks amazing. It has a 'Dark Fall: The Journal' feel to it. Dark and eerie. The title screen shot looks like a movie.

AGS Games in Production / Re: Boryokudan Rue

I'm anticipating this with awe. I really like the graphics. It reminds me of a game called Prisoner of Ice. Kind of. I'm sure this will kick ass.

Awesome stuff. I can't wait for the plugin and whatever you have. I'd love to make a 3D shooter. I even have a 3-year old story that I want to adapt. Once again, awesome stuff.

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?
Tue 06/01/2009 17:14:31
Since Maniac Mansion and Space Quest IV are my two favourite adventure games of all time, it was only natural that I'd think about them during a day of boredom. So, I basically googled for free adventure game downloads and the like. From there on, I found this site and was mesmerized by RON games.

Are you serious? How can the originals still be selling? Are they compatible with Windows XP/Vista?

I remember owning both Who Dunnit? And Nitemare 3D, although I much preferred the first three games for their traditional adventure interfaces over first person shooter, but Nitemare 3D was still fun. I wish there was an updated version of Hugo. I wouldn't mind playing it.

Finished it. Good game.

Spoiler
I was wondering why the atmosphere of the game had a somber tone. I mean, the guy was 42 and the music and dialog made him seem like he was old as dirt. I understood after the cryptic phone call that this was going to be more than just a regular Christmas. That ending was crazy lol.

Hope you make more.

How come when I take the
Spoiler
glued cotton and try to apply it onto the Santa figure, it says something about remembering the code of the note? It's the Santa figure, not the note. I've already opened the safe and I've already left the gift on the table. Is this a bug??

Completed Game Announcements / Re: This Game

Wow...it's like a Twilight Zone haha. It's hip, stylish and cool. The humour is excellent. The minute he
Spoiler
stepped in and called the old lady stupid after a few sentences was hysterical. I loved the past, past past, present and future concept. It's like Back to the Future, except this one deals with keeping the family together by preventing a much more dark and twisted stir of events.

ThisGame rocks. From the beginning to the ending, it doesn't lose wit. ThisGuy is one of the most likable characters I've seen in an AGS game. I hope to see more.

This is a great game. I enjoyed it. I can definitely see the Hayao Miyazaki influence with the fantasy world, characters and atmosphere/setting. I loved the music. It complemented well. One thing I found odd was during the beginning with all the
Spoiler
smoke and fire...yet Inessa is smiling through the entire event lol.

The game-play needed a little getting used to, but it's different and I like that. I also liked Inessa's antics with the
Spoiler
cave monster.

That was cool. Graphics and animations were tops. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series. I want to know what happens next!

That is so much better! It's a 9 now! You know why? Because you took the effort of listening and changing in such a short amount of time. I appreciate that. Respect.

Plans for a next project already?

[update] Now that I play again, I notice you've also changed the location of the kitchen.  8)! It almost looks like Gaming On Demand.... wait till I get the bill....  ;D

lol, if it improves the gameplay, then that's what matters. I went and looked at as many photos/blueprints of apartments, condos and houses as I could on google and realized that...yes, it's true that the kitchen is closer to the living room.
#51
Sorry that it ruined it for you. I should've made clues.

Since I value your feedback, I made the change. I don't know if that'll appease you though. If it's a 2, then it's a 2.
#52
I don't know. I don't even care about the debug anymore. Blah.

Anyway, I changed the location of the kitchen so that it is on the other side.

Spoiler
The scythe is under the bed but I didn't put any indication there on purpose. You have to click on the exact spot on the edge of the bed. It's near the bottom of where the floorboard line is.

Thanks. I fixed the bugs now.

Spoiler
I also took out the debug keys from the global script lol.

As for what items you need:
Spoiler
You will need to find two hidden objects; the black marker and the scythe.

Dammit! I knew there was something I forgot to do...I just couldn't think of what it was. Thanks! I'll fix it.

EDIT: Okay...it's fixed. Notify me of any other errors.

This is my first AGS game. I haven't touched AGS since 2003, so I had to relearn the basics. Therefore, what you'll get here is a simple and easy-as-opening-a-can-of-cola game. If you hate those, stay far away. Otherwise, the game turned out the way I wanted it to.

Synopsis: Slacker/Paper Carrier Vic Wreckle is invited to a Halloween party, but due to poor time management and irresponsibility, he misses his chance to pick up a costume. With the store closed, he needs to make himself a costume using items he finds in his condominium, so that he can attend the party without feeling like a loser.

Features:

- Three Unique Characters
- Fun Dialogue
- Colourful Old-School Graphics
- Slice-Of-Life Style Atmosphere
- Cool Objects And Interactions

This is a good and fun game. I like your animations. It's way better than what I can do lol. You should work on a series of shorts starring Otis. Maybe, one for every holiday? Anyway, easy but well worth playing. Good job.
#57
Interesting. Is he basically a ball? :D I'll check this out tomorrow.

Advanced Technical Forum / Re: Fatal error
Mon 24/11/2008 17:09:14
It could be that the file got corrupted...

I had the same error just a few minutes ago...but my problem was with a sprite not being there and instead a black box. I just re-uploaded the sprite and my inventory works once I go up to the GUI area. So, I don't know...check all of your sprites and see if all of them are there. It might be a totally different problem though...but yeah.
#59
Yes! I identified the fatal error! An image was missing...geez. That had me in a panic.

I'll modify the perspectives on the couch and table before the game is finished...so don't worry. Thanks for the feed.
