I use layers but normally for each part. Like... Head Arms Torso ect and the odd detail over it.

I was more or less referring to his use of blending modes. (I use one for highlights and use overlay sometimes.)

But yeah I've had documents with 90ish layers before. I have only noticed lag when I use that coupled with photoshops animation.

Daniel do you always do your layer setup like that?

I pretty much just keep all objects on one layer each object and paint on that. (Not really utilizing blending modes and stuff like that normally.)

Ugh, try doing a 640x200 scrolling room with -only- pixels. There is no way it is quicker than digital painting ._.

Compared to a detailed high res version? I'd say pixel was still much faster. At that resolution though either one will be a quick sketch.

I guess honestly it really depends.

Stuff like above would be cheap where as super detailed higher rez art would prolly be alot closer to traditional stuff.

I'm still not so great at this but I am learning and have got alot better over the past few bits.

QuoteInstead of highlighting various parts, settle for a direction and see if you can sculpt the shapes out of it.

That ^

Honestly I can't really add much that Andail hasnt said or shown in his draw over... :(  Great sketch btw!

Was an ice bridge in a cave with a hole in the ceiling and loads of icicles...then I tried to draw that...then I did something else:

Made in 640x480px, but thought the clear lines make it look ok smaller also.
If the snow is not enough, there's suppose to be more water inside the well and it's probably frozen.

Great style man!

I'm reminded of when my boss tried to connect an ancient tape backup device which had a 25 pin serial plug to a PC using a modem cable (25 to 9 pin) and a 9 pin to usb mouse adapter. Never mind that the cable's configuration would have to be exactly right by accident and that you'd need usb drivers for the device (which obviously didn't exist).

And a few days ago, the husband of a client made their apartment go dark because when trying to fix the cable of a floor lamp he had accidentally cut while unwrapping the lamp, he couldn't be bothered to connect the wires to each other separately and put them all together inside the screw joint.

Sooo, let me get this straight, because I can't make heads or tails of your post: do you want to "fix" the mouse? By connecting the mouse's wireless dongle to the camera's usb port? How would you then connect the camera to the PC?
I'm curious how your "project" will turn out, keep us posted.

I'd say from my experience digital art cost more. Not only is it alot harder to change imo but it takes longer. Also animation it pixel art is quicker and easier to do.

That second drawing is amazing.

No no thats music from our country. (Assuming your from the usa.)

Yeah. It makes sense. I just read something that explained it all and backed up the info from the music video. Like hes pretending to be gangnam but everything in the video is not anything like them.
I wish I could find the link it also listed how pretty much every person in the video was from other popular stuff there.
