I think it's kind of cool that our games are getting reached by a non-internetty bunch.

I mean.. so what if evil, ruthless companies are getting money for other peoples hard work...That's just their nature. It's like prosecuting cats for eating rodents.

Okay..I've been trying to get these things right for years and I still haven't fully succeeded. But I have obtained some knowledge off various wise people and experimentation that I can pass on.

Okay, firstly. Walk.

Just pace about your room a bit and get a 'feel' for it. Notice how your weight shifts and how your feet move.

Secondly. Look at some other walking animations, draw over the top of them. Study every frame.

Thirdly. Experiment, experiment, EXPERIMENT until you get it right. You'll never be perfect (I doubt any animator, evenj a pro, could say they were perfect. Just get it looking 'right' for the character)

Fourthly. Give up and steal all your sprites from old lucasarts games.  

My friend had those games. I liked the way you could spam about with toys and stuff.

The only thing is, my friend is now saying: "Wow! it's just like in Shenmu!" everytime he drinks a can of coke.  

It is now 10PM...I have just finished writing up my dialog and sending it to you...

Dialogs, in my opinion, allways seem a bit...fake if you don't use them...

Well...I like this idea alot. But it might encourage people to start up a bunch of new award ceremonies and then the AGSAwards won't be special anymore.  :'( WEEP!  :'(

But the idea IS good, maybe it shouldn't be such a LARGE thing, though...
Perphaps we could just add another catergory to the AGS awards (More work for you, eh, DG).

it kinda reminds me of the style my friend; Rob draws in...

But that's irreleavant. I really love the character, my only crit would be that his hands are bigger in the side view than on the back and front...his neck could also be a pixel or so thinner and the shoulders pushed more forward into a more casual poition.

Yes...I have managed to go for prolonged periods without a computer without my eyeballs melting.
