Quote from: Chicky-d00I really hope that DBZ doesn't stand for what i think it does.

I've played about a little bit with RealityFactory, it seems really nice to use but the example games all have really clunky controls. I'm guessing that's a limitation to the engine rather than just bad design in the individual games.

My animation tutor just e-mailed me this.

Sorry if it's old news.

And if it isn't, sorry if I rained on anyone's parade. :p

EDIT: Krazy just just told me vague stuff he heard of reddit about how Unity is good and Unreal is bad... my parade has been rained on...

How did I miss this?
I blame your wacky topic title!

Yes, I've played with this before. It really is rather great.

He shouldn't have accepted it, now he'll never win one legitimately. He'll always be 'the guy who got an award for being black'

Should have given it to some Iranian computer hackers or something, at least that's got people talking.

Just for the iPhone then? Nuts, I thought at least it would be on Steam...

And I have... failed.

Yep. Tried to make a wac-a-mole type game and couldn't get the code right. Tooo baaad.

Ah, IRC. Damn, I thought it'd be happening on Stickam.
Oh well, too late to start downloading and setting things up now.

I'll be there next time, duuuuuudes.

Awwhat, the one day I make plans for 8PM?

I hadn't back in 2005 when this thread was started but now...

Well, a couple of years ago I was on holiday with my family in Italy and my dad knocked a wing-mirror off our rental car, it was my idea to tie it back on with a plastic bag off the side of the road.
Not the most complex of puzzles but it felt totally adventure-gamey at the time. I was glowing, man. GLOWING.

This makes me really excited about where adventure games could go. What if you controlled a character in third person then switched to first person to click on stuff? It would be so beautifully versatile, like an old text adventure only with the text replaced with BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK.

You could crouch and LOOK UNDER BEDS!!
For some reason I am really caught up on beds when it comes to this technology.

@EHCB

In which I talk about spider-genocide and what DVD's I am about to watch by myself, post original jokes (Example - Q: What's the healthiest illegal drug? A: "Oh, pea! Yum!") and then awkwardly harass and alienate celebrities I admire.

It's a goooooooooooood service.

I actually really like the first hi-res version but I agree that it's going to be a bitch to animate.
I guess if he only needs to walk and talk it's just about doable.

Sounds good. Can it be a world I've already written stories about.
