Did you... stick a Family Guy character's head on Guybrush's body?
That is creepy...

I'm interested in Winterminute for it's 3D model support (although I don't know the fourth thing about 3D modelling, it's on my to-learn list) and, in particular,  Lassie for it's .swf support (pretty much a match made in heaven for me but it's just way too buggy to be practically usable at the moment) but... I'm using AGS because it's the only program that seem to hate me QUITE so much as the others.

For the record, I think Dexter hits it's stride in a big way at Season2.

As for other intelligent (as if I'm in any position to judge that) shows around at the moment: Ugly Betty shallow, camp sitcom exterior hides a hidden level of equally shallow and even more camp soap opera which itself hides a level of intelligent satire, loveable (or just lovably grotesque) characters and a refreshingly sincere desire to entertain (but still camp, wouldn't want it any other way).

Adult Swim's The Venture Brothers started off a somewhat smug Johnny Quest parody and quickly developed into one of the most inventive (and plot-heavy) shows on television, it's also painfully, painfully hilarious.

Apparitions is a completely wicked Supernatural drama starring Martin Shaw as an exorcist; the first series got stupidly overlooked by the usual crowd for this sort of drama... presumably because it's on the Catholics side and not ashamed of it, in my opinion that puts it a cut above. It's perfectly fine to not believe in the devil, but denying his awesomeness as a TV show villain is just plain arrogant.

The Street is kind of a longform drama/soap-opera hybrid by Jimmy McGovern; each episode focuses on a different story from a different inhabitant  of... well, the street. The plots are tight, hard-hitting and emotionally intense but it never slips into the usual 'gritty drama' trap of being so unremittingly bleak it becomes dull.

Mighty B! is a kids cartoon about wacky girlscouts and... it's done about as well as that premise could possibly ever be done. There's been a slight renaissance for this kind of show lately, but this one sticks out for having an usual sense of setting (San Francisco), a strong female influence in the writing and slightly better jokes. The animation's also great but depressingly only animators ever seem to care about that...

Hope I covered enough bases there.

Ha, a cooler theme might have been 'episode 3'. All series hit their stride at episode 3 and this woukld have been a good opportunity to skip doing those pesky episodes 1 and 2.

Okay, I put it in game_start and it's all fine now. Thanks for the help.

Well, here's the code I used:

struct NewCharacter {
 int health;
 int maxhealth;
 int strength;
 int defense;
 int speed;
 int time;
 String type;
};

NewCharacter shelley;
 shelley.health = 100;
 shelley.maxhealth = 100;
 shelley.strength = 10;
 shelley.defense = 8;
 shelley.speed = 10;
 shelley.time = 1000;
 shelley.type = "Human";

And here's the error I get when I try and build the game:

characters.asc(15): Error (line 15): Parse error: unexpected 'shelley'

Out of curiosity I pasted in the example code from the manual, which goes:

struct Weapon {
 int damage;
 int price;
 String name;
};

Weapon sword;
sword.damage = 10;
sword.price = 50;
sword.name = "Fine sword";

Same thing happened.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Looked great, really fun to play. Fantastic work!
Can't wait for the next part.

I am actually very excited by where Autumn Moon is heading, it really seems like they've learned from their mistakes and I hope they get to make a few more games.

I'm particularly interested in what they're doing with Vampyre Story 2, in spite of everything.

Basically they set up all these great characters with intriguing personalities...
Then had them say schtum throughout the entire game. Kind of infuriating if you've come from playing later stuff.

Yep, I bought DOTT at a car boot sale as a wee nipper and Maniac Mansion's included in with the game.

My verdict: I loved it a lot... but I didn't really love PLAYING it.
Does that sense?

TANG CLAN!

Good gosh-darn you are fast.

Sorry, I'm confused.
How long after it's creation does it take for intellectual property to be released into the frequency domain?

On the puzzles; I think Mike Stemmle's design philosophy is the write the story first then slap on arbitrary scattered obstacles whether they fit or not.

Leads to very hit and miss gameplay but at least you DO get a good story. Which this game definitely has. It definitely, definitely has. It's a really good story, guys!

Played the game, I am now at peace with the world.
I have a FEW problems with some of the design decisions but evidently nothing so big as to stop me playing through the first part of the game again this very afternoon just to wave my arms and giggle in excitement at it's existence.

Monkey Island is back, everything is going to be all right.

Krazy had to deal with this problem today sending an old game of his to me.
Changing the .exe extension to .nexe was enough to fool Gmail. Just tell your playtesters how to change it back.

Cartoon + Cyberpunk + Hot girl with a boys name.
You have ticked all my boxes, sir. God speed with this!
