Just amazing.

I'm going to listen to it. I'm going to try and skip ahead to the songs, though.

J.R.R Tolkien... sings?...

...

THIS NEEDS TO BE ARCHIVED ONLINE!

Yeah, where is this place you're taking these photos.
If the game is a hit, maybe you can charge people for tours of it. It's really pretty spooky.

I've heard Toonboom does better with importing and/or vectorising bitmaps than flash. I don't know, I haven't used Toonboom much.
I know the studio who did Mucha Lucha did a ranty blog post about how much better it was than flash... is it a recommendation.

Anyway, I definitely prefer flash's drawing tools, but if you're not using the animation software for the drawing then bliuiyt ghdgh gvgFAZjvs  ZAHHJAGVAVZhaghxhsxhsghjsg

I have actually toyed with the idea of getting a cheap record player and going on the the prowl for recorded oddities of the sort that get found on http://wmfu.org

But the local charity shops seem to have a crippling lack of strange obscure records and a lot... Well, a lot of Genesis for a start.

Record collecting, yet another hobby I just plain don't have the stamina for.

EDIT: Actually, I just had a thought... I wonder how much machines that can record lp's into a digital format are... If I wanted a Genesis album I could potentially save a lot of money on music...

UPDATE!

Unfortunately, that's generally about as thick as it gets.

I was briefly a beta tester for Ace Quest as well.
This is exciting, I'm excited.

I might just have to go and play Ace Quest...

The thing I like best about this design document is the jokes.
I bet game design documents these days aren't allowed to have jokes...

This is so monumentally spiffy it hurts.
Great work!
#711
This is fantastic news for humanity.
#712
Yes, congratulations... for now.

But I'll be back... and next time I'll have a PROPER DESIGN DOCUMENT and... and walk cycles that actually look like walking and rooms that are laid out so I don't need to put in convoluted additional cutscenes to make sure people don't solve puzzles before they even know there's a puzzle to solve.
You been warned! You've all been warned!

Seriously, though. Erk was the greatest. I love Erk. Erk is my homeboy.

I'll give it a go but i really don't think I can pump out the words fast enough.

I try to dip my ugly face into everything except making music.
A lot of my arty things can be found at http://eggheadcheesybird.deviantart.com

I can't do music.
I wish I could do music...

Avengers-era Joanna Lumley?

Threateningly good.

As talked about in the commentary, the key to this is how well the goals are set up. It really works.

Plus, that jumping dino animation is just rad.
#719
Everybody post your custom cave art:

I drew Death from Sandman. I think I got her hook thing on the wrong eye... that must be why it was 'odd'.

Rad game, by the way. Annoyingly so.

You know you're stuck when you start desperately trying to click on the bird in the background.

EDIT: Oh wicked, I wish I could have spent some time playing rock paper scissors, though. Maybe after the credits.
