SOMNAMULIZER: A Tale From Olympus U

Currently uploading, be sure to download the build that says MAGS VERSION.

FEATURES:
* Play as Hypnos the Greek god of sleep!
* Drug People
* Witness animations when they work!
* Hear nice music that I do not own the copyright to!
* Text
* Images
* Fffffffffff
* Autosave!!!
* Nudity but it's totes SFW because they're Greek gods and my art style is literally indistinguishable from ancient statues
* ARRRGH

I was fixing things up to the last minute but it's nowhere near as polished as it should be and I'm kicking myself for it; you're going to notice a lot of animation glitches and missing interactions though HOPEFULLY I've squashed everything game-breaking. Oh yeah, also the last part of the game's one long cutscene because I cut two big puzzles, AIN'T I A STINKER :|

EDIT: Stil uploading, may I please have a ten fifteen minute extension :| :| :|
EDIT: I've had to take it down I only went an uploaded a version that starts in the wrong room ha ha ha no no no no
EDIT: Back up 00:50, boy I have to go work in four hours

I have a concern about that GU! I'm quite off on the Monkey Island interface anyway these days because I feel like it's too much moving the cursor back and forth, and that game has the interface taking up almost half the screen; that annoyance is just going to be exaggerated by it being so tiny and right down at the bottom there.

Love both the entries so far!

For my game I ran out of time for Adventurejam and released a janky mess, but I should be able to spruce it up for the MAGS deadline :)

I am also attempting to make mine an AdventureJam entry and tweeting my progress here!

It's about this chucklehead

Oh wow wow! Best theme! I can't wait to play these

Oooh, the colour choices! I love it!

I've made it past the third box once :'(

Ooh amazing! I love reading these!

That's awesome, dude!
All I do when I play Wasteland is get cornered by enemies and wonder how anyone ever got further but I will definitely enjoy doing that again now there's FANCY TUNES TO DO IT TO!

I'm torn about that dialogue editor, it looks very powerful and modern and just like a big fancy pro modding kit but there was just something I always liked about it being one big lump of text you could dive into and edit...
I mean, unless I needed to move options around. Those times I REALLY, REALLY want a big fancy pro dialogue editor.

Like I said, I'm torn. TORN.

I was super excited to find out you were still making stuff when I found this, but the game's page entry's coming up empty.

What's happened? :(

I really *hope* Krysis consents to nude edits of his Ron sprites.
Please do, Krysis. For the team!

I am going to enter this and I might hopefully be teaming up with an incredible animator friend for it if he has the time. Exciting!

That's a super cute character! I think the main problems with this particular drawing is that her pose in unfocused, It's not clear what she's meant to be doing and it kind of looks like you didn't know before you started drawing.
Definitely do a pass of her in a generic standing pose, then you'll be able to tidy up her proportions more easily and you'll have a good template for when you want to draw her in fancier positions.

Congratulations Krazy, you are my pal and you make cool things and deserved this!

Yami, I'm here for you. Let's be here for each other. We can get through this.

I had to google that Ed Atlin guy. With that voice, I figured he must be voice acting in some way, shape or form on a regular basis.

I've been a fan of his animations and youtube videos for a decade, it's so cool to me he wanted to be involved!

PLAY IT AGAIN: AN IMPROV POINT AND CLICK ADVENTURE (Warning: huge download)

In a world where every man, woman and child's worth is measured by the quality of their facial hair: You, The Player, are without moustache. Will seeking the help of a notorious mobster be the answer to your prayers? Can you finally become worthy of the affections of your old lover? Can I think of anything interesting to say about the fourth character? They are a pianist? I guess not.

Finally, the most taxing question of all... Why is a one room game over 200MB? Find out the answers when you play Play It Again! And then play it again!

SCREENSHOTS

FEATURES
* Dialogue conceived entirely by the voice cast, I wrote not a word down for these talented mofos
* Four characters, ten actors, thirty six wildly different performances. A different combination of actors with totally different dialogue in each playthrough!
* Nine randomized appearances for both The Player and the moustachioed NPCs they meet
* Haunting 'randomized' original music by Bluke4x4
* Intrigue!
* Murder!
* Moustaches!

Huge big special thanks to the voice cast/ writers: HanaIndiana, Bluke4x4, CaptainD, Krazy, Oraxon and Claudie and non-agsers Eilavamp, 0lliewells, Ed Atlin and Rob Turner. You guys were all GREAT!! :D

Not voting obvs but THOUGHTS:

yamipanda
: Cute and funny first game and, most importantly; not broken. The way you've used flags and dialogues that change as the story progresses show a pretty strong understanding of what this engine can do so I'm looking forward to a larger game from you
Krazy: My good friend Alex Scobell recruited me and a host of other non-Australians to do the voice-acting for this game thus completely stealing my idea of high-concept voice-acting. Before Play It Again only low-concept voice-acting was a thing. I'm not partial but I think the drawings are pretty and the writing makes me laugh a lot and I want this one to win
Oldschool_Wolf: It finally happened... a game with TOO MANY Monkey Island references. Too many! There were just too many! That niggle aside; lovely clean art, lots of fun attention to detail (I loved the 'boosting your confidence before asking the girl out' part) and certainly the best entry for delivering a well designed, traditional puzzle-solving experience. I still want Bruce Quest to win. Vote Bruce Quest!
