Tim Schafer did a pretty good job of keeping it all hush-hush. Hre was very careful, very clever to make sure everything was under-wraps.
Unfortunately he was NOT CLEVER ENOUGH! For cautious as he was, dear Mr. Scafer made one fatal mistake!!

Um...in his last blog entry he said he was making a Beetlejuice game...

So how's everyone reacting to this?
I'm hoping it'll combine the sensibilities of the movie with the visual style of the TV show...and...I hope it doesn't star Michael Keaton...

I discivered this software earlier this week and I am TOTALLY in love with it.
It's just so whimsical...

Most programming languages, if they had a voice, would be like nazi drill sergeants. This is like a softly spoken, camp thespian type gently guiding me through the motions while holding my hand and creeping me out a bit.

it's like playing a text adventure about making a text adventure.

Anyway, still 25 days or so before the deadline of the annual If contest...I've gotta go figure out some stuff about variables...

So this is what happens when I hear about a contest at the last minute at 3 o clock in the morning...

I don't even know if this is legible...

I'd also like to show off an earlier work of mine, which looking through all the entries seems to look a whole lot like every other comic posted here...: http://life.smackjeeves.com/comics/26285/
'Cept Pablo's...Pablo's is great.

Massive Ren & Stimpy influences! Can't be bad.

But about 50% of Ren and Stimpy is unwatchably bad...

Now Rocko's Modern Life on the other hand...

It's funny...

Hmmn...

...and...uh...Well, it's funny.

Hey...I can kind of almost code in flash...
Hmmn...

Advantages to me working on this project:
*Get to work with Bill Tiller
*Get 700 euro's
*Earn valuable work experience

Disadvantages to me working on this project:
*The whole thing burning to the ground in a horrible burning mass, crushing dreams as it goes due to my horriblle incompetance.

Yeah...I think I'll pass...

Although...

I dunno...

How complex is this game exactly...I assume you're doing some pretty ambitious stuff since you're not just doing all the coding yourself...

Well...That was a disapointment, if we're quite honest.

I can't believe that skinny guy would dare impersonayte cthe jolly fat man.

Maybe you should try sprites or something.

Your inanimate objects have a lot of character.

This website seems a tad...scary...

They don't seem to have got around to putting up the terms of service yet.

It's not very spectacular... But check this out http://www.michaelbach.de/ot/  :D

This site is awesome.
But how do I know he didn't just code all these neat effects? :p
