Calling Citizen Kane a poor film as a matter of taste is like giving a 3 to a figure skater who's earned 10s from everyone else because you didn't like their choice of music.

Quote from: Anian on Sat 06/07/2013 13:06:14I suggest clicking on the surface of the back of the boat and delete the surface, then resurface that area carefully manually.

Thank you, Anian! I'm going to try this this afternoon with the plan you've provided. Ironically, if I'd approached this more like building an actual boat instead of a 3D model, that's what it should have looked like anyway (using the shape of boards).

I've been learning to use Sketchup to design a boat for a project for which I need a consistent model, and am having some issues. First off, here's the boat. In that last view of it, from the back, you might be able to discern some weird coloration.

This is what the back looks like from the inside of the hull. I've been saving drafts, but unfortunately didn't notice this until I was four or five iterations down the road. I've tried using the pencil tool to make planes out of these areas, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any advice on what is going on / whether it's fixable?

Questions to consider:

1. Does, for example, Dave at WadjetEye, pay a living wage to his employees? Healthcare? Benefits? I'm sure these are expectations of DoubleFine employees.

2. How much of the three million raised from Kickstarter made up the budget of the game itself? I know there's a 10 percent off the top that goes to KS and Amazon, plus shipping expenses on whatever items they're shipping, plus around 3-5% of backer contributions usually don't come through for whatever reason, plus the cost of the documentary.

3. If I'm reading correctly, cuts were going to be made primarily because of deadlines. How many AGS games come in on time, meeting their creators' self-appointed deadlines?

I honestly don't know the answers to any of these questions, but I do think these are factors to consider. The difference between making a game as a business versus making one out of love is that, in the former instance, if you fail, bills are not paid, people are unemployed, children of your employees starve, etc.

I just didn't want to put you at an unfair disadvantage, shorty.

Once all people can exist, none of them can.

Once all animals can exist, none of them can.

Once carbon-based lifeforms can exist, no other forms of life can exist.

Once answered, no question can exist.

Again, same logic is same.

My mind just boggles at the use of the word logic here. I've tried to type four or five responses, but I'm dumbfounded.

That was a Twilight Zone joke, by the way.

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

One of my favorite genres is the spaghetti western soundtrack. I have over 5,000 tracks from these obscure films on a hard drive.

The stuff to listen to immediately, of course, are the Morricone scores for Leone films. However, Morricone did many other spaghetti scores. Some of my favorite tracks are:

- The title track from Companeros.
- Viva La Revolucion from Tepepa.
- The title track from Run Man Run.

Other favorites include Luis Bacalov (title tracks from Django, The Great Duel), Bruno Nicolai (check out 'Fuga Dall'Ovest' from Run Man Run), Benedetto Ghiglia (the title track from A Stranger in Town).

I can hear your mother calling my name, if you know what I mean, wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

I agree that the label "graphic filter" always seemed to indicate something different than what it actually does.

Nope, but if we were playing hot/cold, you'd be on fire!

Also, I didn't know there were Wallace & Gromit games!

Assuming that my observation was correct -- I won't make you guess the connection between this and the previous entry, but there is a pretty big one:
