I being 30 have had both of your lifetimes put together to make a game, and you're already ahead of me, and I hate you and want to steal your youth.

I'm pretty sure that is The Conversation too.

Do either Spriter or Spine allow easy importing other image programs, or the exporting of frame-by-frame images? I like doing this sort of bone-based animation, but I prefer doing my drawing work in Illustrator and Photoshop. This has turned me off from using ToonBoom, to which I had some trouble importing eps or png files.

Quote from: waheela on Fri 12/04/2013 00:08:15A good thing to remember is that at no point when a person is walking are both feet fully on the ground.

This might depend on the age of the kid. The both feet on the ground walk cycle makes the kid look much younger. I've just watched my 19-month-old walking, and he has both of his feet on the ground some of the time. I'm sure it used to be much more.

I'm launching a Kickstarter as soon as we get a video shot and Kickstarter approves our campaign for the webcomic I do with Greg Rucka and Rick Burchett, Lady Sabre.

Here's a list of best practices I put together a year ago. These may have changed a little since then, but the ideas should be the same.

A fair amount of information here too, from a successful KS'er.

Regarding the widescreen stretch -- try updating your video card drivers as well. This fixed the problem for me (mine was not an issue on my laptop, but in a connected widescreen monitor) when no AGS-based options would.

I've re-read my initial post, and want to clarify that I wasn't implying that anything untoward was going on, but simply that this reminded me of what vectorization of raster images looks like. I genuinely thought it was interesting. I'll give this a try when I get home tonight!

     @ Babar and Eric
I probably should think along the lines of a one room game but it does feel rather limited for me.

Here's a nine-character, four-room game plan for you, based on my original premise:

Characters:
Smitty (a cornerman), the PC
Jocko, your brother, a boxer
Nick Slamrock, your brother's hefty opponent
Burt Schmendrick, Slamrock's cornerman
The Ref
Ringside announcer
Two audience members with whom you can interact, out of a crowd
A concession stand jerk

Rooms:
The ring, which also features both corners and a ringside table where the announcer sits
The seats, where you find two audience members who will interact with you
The locker room
The concession stand

The premise:
Somehow, despite being a welterweight, your brother has been booked into the fight of his life with the local heavyweight champion. You've got three rounds to get him through, and as your brother dances around the ring to avoid Slamrock's powerful blows, you'll stoop to any level of trickery to ensure that your brother stays alive. If you happen to win the match, then all the better.

Damn. Looks like we're never going to see Sam and Max: Freelance Police. And I was really looking forward to a fifth Monkey Island game. Now it looks like literally none of those things will ever happen.

I actually feel like those things are more likely to happen, depending on how much they want for the licensing. Am I wrong to think this?

Here's Ron Gilbert's response.

It is NOT Streets of F...oh wait, yes it is! Your turn, dancing cow!

The results look similar to the Illustrator LiveTrace function. Interesting.

Can you do a short one-room game set in a boxing ring, the goal of which is survival against a comically bigger opponent?

Ah! Thank you. For some reason, I thought that link had taken me to the comments section. Need more caffeine.

I may be a bit crazy. I've just left a comment, but don't see a place to rate the games (only the AGS panel rating).

Haha. Maybe it was guessed by me? I don't remember seeing it before in the thread. Sorry for the repeat!

Here's another hint: The director of this movie is best known for his westerns, and also for his movies that are pretty much westerns, but set in other times/places. If you guys don't guess it by then, I will give you another hint about this director's other well-known movie in two days.
