I figured that would be a quick one, and I was right. It is indeed the beautiful The Illusionist.

Oh dear.. You are definitely correct. I never noticed that it wasn't there before she got there.
I'm just trying to figure out where she got this oxygen tank or why she is unconscious. Or did someone else put here there? No idea.

I might not have noticed this had not my wife, a special education teacher, pointed out that paraplegic adults in television shows are often using the wrong kind of wheelchair for people who aren't constantly being pushed around by nurses.

The wheelchair does not have handles for pushing, so you carefully push it forward by the backrest.

So we've learned that someone, maybe the woman, is semi-permanently in a wheelchair, and this isn't a med bay wheel chair.

What a sweet little game. I've just finished collecting all of the little kittens and am thinking of having some chips in sour cream myself. You should add Kitten Catastrophy to the site!

I am always impressed by the warmth and imagination of childrens' drawings, and I really liked Elena's art. I will admit to being skeptical (before I downloaded) of the potential for animation in a game designed by a nine-year-old, but I think she did a great job. I love the way the father cat walks, the swimming fish, and the TV.

Please pass along to her my two-paws-up review, and save a little praise for yourself as well. I bet this was a fun collaboration.

It is both obvious and unobvious to me. I recognize most of the people in the still from something, but can't put my finger on what.

Stab in the dark: is it Dirty Dancing?

>OPEN LIQUOR CABINET, GET DRUNK

Oh wait...wrong thread. Two great entries. Looks like I've got some stiff competition. I'm still going to need the extra day, as I've scrapped a corner of my background (got rid of mirrors) and am having to learn how to digitally paint bronze. But I got a good night's sleep, so hopefully I'll be able to get some work done when I get home this evening.

Oh god, thanks WHAM. I came here to post that, pretty much, verbatim. Thanks for extending, Misj'.

Thanks, Bulbapuck! Here's a new visible chunk!

Would like to add the word 'cautiously.' That lady may have woken up, and knows where a hidden gun is or something (still don't trust WHAM).

Syrup coming available later as DLC.

Someone go up so I can share the giant chunk of this that I have just put together!

Quote from: Misj' on Tue 15/05/2012 17:19:30If you look at Bill Tiller's work (monkey island 3, vampyre story) you see that there are a lot of places where he cheats (and he likes to create a fake fish-eye-lens look). But still it works well I think (others disagree on that by the way).

Thanks for this info, Misj' (and for hosting, LostTrainDude). I'm trying to figure out how to do better backgrounds myself, and I'm going to order copies of these two books.

Speaking of Tiller, here's an essay by him on the backgrounds for MI:3.

Here's a panicky last-minute question: any rules on size/resolution? Just needs to be usable in AGS, right?

If it slipped your mind to start on a 20's background...only a few more days to go ;)

I worked on mine for a long time last night. Not sure if it'll make it by the 20th, but I'll do my best!

Quote from: Nixxon on Tue 15/05/2012 01:07:29Now if only we could implement some more 'modern' resolutions/aspect ratios in the editor.

I brought this up in another thread, and was pointed to this development branch. FYI!

Even if it's not, it looks incredibly fascinating anyway. Thanks!

Quote from: selmiak on Sat 12/05/2012 13:59:16I already drew my part and didn't claim anything.

I stupidly didn't notice you were also the thread starter! I hereby claim UP.

(Just to clarify, is the 10px you shared part of my 200px? So that together, our two images are 380px? Or should I be working on a canvas of 210px that includes your shared piece?)
