Substitute "very suitable" with "intended for". Happy now?

While I appreciate snarky comments about practice as much as anyone else, it might perhaps be more helpful to point out to JoeFirebrand that his problem is most likely caused by him using the Brush instead of the Pencil to draw (Photoshop). In the tool bar press and hold the Brush option, which will let you switch to the Pencil.

Photoshop isn't very suitable for sprites in general though, and a specialised program such as Pro Motion or Graphics Gale might be better to use.

Song: Kontroll på Kontinentet, by Kaizers Orchestra
Comment: Not my favourite song of theirs, but this video shows their live show the best. According to Wikipedia "Kaizers Orchestra are notable for being among the first Norwegian bands or artists singing in their native language to become popular in non-Scandinavian Europe", probably in large part because of their live shows
How I discovered it: They're fairly popular here
Fun fact: Each of their albums tell a story. The first album, as far as I can interpret, dealing with a mafia formed in the post-war society of an unspecified eastern European country by former members of the war resistance. This song in particular is the mafia leader trying to discover who in "the family" betrayed him, by pretending to be dead, having an open casket at the funeral, and waiting for the culprit to reveal his sins to the dead body only to discover that it was his sister. Oh, I spoiled it now.

That sucks, DonB. I specifically didn't buy an LCD monitor for years for fear of this. I only bought one earlier this year after making absolutely sure that low resolution games would look good on it. I'm afraid cheaper LCD monitors suck at low res games, and not even the expensive ones are as good as the good old CRT monitors. They take up less space on your desk at least.

However, this looks worse than what I've seen on even the cheapest of LCD monitors. The image in the first post, is that a screenshot, or did you create that image to illustrate the problem? If the problem is in the way the LCD monitor presents the image, it shouldn't be possible to take a screenshot of the blurriness, since the upscaling woud happen inside the monitor after the image is sent to it. If you really were able to take a screenshot of the problem I think you should investigate if it is the driver of your graphics card that is helpfully upscaling the image to the monitor's native resolution. If this is the case, it should hopefully be possible to change how it does that. Can you tell us what graphics card you have?

If you created that image in photoshop to illustrate the problem, disregard the above.

No, Esseb, the funny thing is, Unknown_Terror had just said

QuoteI think Simon 1 & 2 is on Home of the Underdogs, i think it's DOS version though. But it's definately there.

Not particularly helpful since they don't actually have them. Plus he technicially didn't link to it. Anyway, his post would be deleted if he had, so it would be as if it never existed.

No one on this forum is going to link to a place where you can download them, Sirus. If you want to warez them, ask elsewhere.

If you want to buy them, however, you can do so here.

The game was released as freeware a few years ago, so it shouldn't be against the forum rules to link to it: http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?name=Teen+Agent

Fun little game.

I think you're giving a pretty skewed impression of how Scandinavians feel about Norse mythology.

Yeah, I'm slightly prone to exaggeration. It's my only flaw. It is, as you said, the romanticised depictions that are linked to the neo-nazis.

That's rather sad that people tie mythology to a particular cause, but people are often very close-minded that way.Ã,  Does the same occur if people wear t-shirts with Marvel Comics' version of Thor on it?

I think you've got the wrong impression. We wouldn't think someone wearing a t-shirt with a cartoon version of Thor on it were a neo-nazi. The neo-nazis are too serious for that. It's nothing like a Christian fundamentalist being upset by cartoon versions of the devil. The reason someone wearing a t-shirt with a (non-cartoon) version of Thor on it is considered to be a neo-nazi is simply because they're the only ones who aren't too ashamed to wear one. It's not a case of tying the mythology to a particular cause, more vice versa. The neo-nazis have embraced the norse mythology to such a degree that they've practically got a monopoly on it.

It's a bit sad really. The Greeks get to be proud of their old gods.

(Heavy, and other kinds of, Metal people excluded from the above. They're allowed to take norse mythology seriously)

You want it to be like MAGS?....

"Here's 10 inventory items. You may use them... or not. It doesn't matter. It can take place at christmas, unless you don't want to."

The video says what song is playing at the beginning, Janik.

Well, these are the two team members I could find in the members list:

Kosm
Tarantula

Last active 2003 and 2004 respectively. If they're still developing the game they're sure keeping quiet.

From what I can remember they said they would have to pause development for a while due to military service, which is mandatory in Finland. After that I haven't heard anything about it, so I'm going to guess it's abandoned.

This is why I don't care if God exists after me being a colossal unrepentant atheist for all my life: he wouldn't mind, he wouldn't judge me, I'd go straight to heaven, along with everybody else. If god exists, he loves us all, and that's great. It's a win/win situation for me.

nope.
only those who accept Him as their God and has faith in Him will go to heaven.
in other words, if God exists, atheists are not in a win/win situation at all.

But which one? I sure wouldn't want to piss one of by having spent my life believing in the wrong one. If I go with atheism I'm at least safe with all the gods who don't give a damn if I don't believe in them, as long as I don't believe in any of the other ones.

Rui: Crime Time is an AGS game. Not that it makes the OP any more sensible.

Edit: Voila. Case closed.

Doesn't work in Opera or Firefox. I'd try to fix that problem first.
