Largo LeGrande. Alliteration with a hint of grandeur.

If you write something that could be written 200 years ago, why would anyone listen to your music and not music written 200 years ago.

What are you doing on a forum where people make games in a genre that died 10 years ago?

Miss Santa should be able to get around quick also.
#244

Keep it simple, I agree.
#245

How about this?
#246
Come on, Vel, Chrille didn't make that many spelling mistakes.

Not an entry. Originally made for a PP in March 2003:

Edit: If you really have no idea what the games are: Exhibit A, exhibit B.

In case you didn't look around the archive Strazer linked to:
What Time is It demo 2
What Time is It demo
What Time is ItÃ, intro

Blame my and AGA's obsessive collecting for them being on there. I think demo 2 is the one you're after. The copy I have is dated 2002-09-09, while the other two are earlier than that.

None of them are parser based though. Demo 2 has a verb coin, demo 1 has Sierra style right click cycling through cursors, intro is just an intro.

Anarcho: Vivendi Universal has ever been mighty? Or do you confuse them for old Sierra?

It would have to be quite an elaborate hoax involving several people in that case Andail. The events as described occured in, well, real time on the SA forums. I can't be arsed to find the thread, but it's still there I believe.

Norway:

VG (very guest)
Dagbladet ('a' pronounced as the 'a' in lard)
Aftenposten (ditto with the 'a', 'e' as in very)

This might be helpful also:

My current desktop.

The wallpaper is from The Bird People in China. An absolutely awesome film I highly recommend.

Edit: If you're interested, I suggest only reading the synopsis on that site and the first half of the review. They tend to describe the entire movie they review.

Awesomely pointless. I like it.

I'm not sure if the "falling into the void" bug has been mention. Happens to the left of the bar if you walk into the sky. Occasionally walking directly backwards at spawn (after you press F10) would make you fall also.

But just one little push and the tower will fall over.

I like to think of it as hearing what the character is thinking when Guybrush for instance says "It's just a big, yellow door" or similar when looking at a door. Sure, he may move his lips while doing so but that doesn't detract from the feeling.

Narrator descriptions to me has the effect Helm described: Detachment from the game, fourth wall broken and all that. Who is this mysterious narrator? Why does he place a big box in the middle of the screen, pausing the game and describing what I, I more or less being the character I'm playing, wanted to look at? Be gone you.

Funny that.

I didn't bother to look at more than the cardboard, but you are indeed right Kinoko.

Oh good, I wasn't able to participate in this thread the first time around.

Not to discredit Ghostlady, I was merely making the observation that her game is no Quake IV. I would be quite surprised if she loses even one sale due to piracy.

That said, I'm done hijacking this thread and whatever argument I may have gotten myself into isn't worth continuing. Good luck with your game, Ghostlady. I hope you end up with a nice profit at the end of it all.

Yes, I can easily imagine most people who'd consider paying $15 for an indie game would know where to illegally aquire games. Especially the esoteric sort which is only sold online to a limited audience. My bookmarks are brimming with those.
Bright .. geeee why didn't I think of it ..

What? My point was that it is extremely hard to find illegally available downloads for indie games even for someone who knows where to look, let alone for what I believe is the target audience for this game: People who are not constantly upgrading their computer so they can play the latest FPS game.

Are you're trying to inform me that you had already thought of this before making your post, or are you saying you hadn't thought of it?
