Yes, I can easily imagine most people who'd consider paying $15 for an indie game would know where to illegally aquire games. Especially the esoteric sort which is only sold online to a limited audience. My bookmarks are brimming with those.

At least the text on the cardboard is fake. Why would it be in English anyway?

As opposed to all the other dead people?

People, people. You're not supposed to start before the 8th of July. At least don't take longer than 7 days to finish your game and let it brood when you're done. And keep in mind the additionar special rules may not fit your game. Best to wait till the 8th really.

Most of Norway is so blurry I can't even find the county I live in, but here's my university:

And they call Australia down under.

Steve Purcell has the rights to Sam & Max, but any development done to S&M2 at Lucasarts is owned by them, so any new S&M game will have to be done from scratch.

Unless LEC would sell the content created so far, which seems pretty unlikely this long after development stopped.

Star Wars transitions have ALWAYS been that way, ever since the 1977 release....... the transitions are an homage to 30's and 40's Flash Gordon serials, much like Star Wars was in the first place.

And Akira Kurosawa's movies.

I'm going to bed now so don't have time to look around for you, but check out doom9.org. There should be at least one good guide there for your purpose. I'd recommend connecting your PC to your TV over spending dozens of CDs on one anime show, but that's just me.

If you plan on watching lots of anime on TV and the PC is too far away to connect to the TV easily, you could have a dedicated PC in the living room for just this purpose, but that tends to be expensive. A much cheaper alternative, which is what I did, is to buy an X-Box, mod it and put in a new hard disk drive. Coupled with X-Box Media Center you can upload movies/series to the X-Box over a LAN and watch them on your TV easily.

Someone may suggest you get a DVD player which can play DivX movies, but they're not really good. Most anime is encoded using Xvid anyway and use OGG for the audio which those players can't handle.

Spoiler

If they don't mention midichlorinininans whatsoever in this movie I think it's a great move. Forget they ever were thought up I say. I'd even support George if he decides to edit episode 1 and 2 so all references to them are removed.

The amount of money they will inevitably end up charging for one NES game? Yes.

Speaking of sequels to Dark Crystal:

As for the topic of this post, let me throw in Future Boy Conan (I feel like I do little else). It's a TV-series, but I still think it fits the theme. Whatever that may be.

Isn't air fare generally the most expensive part of holidays to Paris if you live in the US? This doesn't sound like a very good prize.

"USA 4000" I believe was the title. I was just zapping through the channels on TV before going off to do something else and managed to switch to this movie just as it started. I wasn't planning on watching more than the beginning, nor was my friend who was watching TV with me, but we found ourselves completely transfixed with it and watched it all the way through to the credits with a stupid grin on our faces. Movies this bad are rare to come by by chance.

As for the movie itself, as best I can remember it took place in the year 4000, in the USA, after a nuclear war. Made in the '80s there's a sizeable portion of the cast with tall and puffy hair which makes the experience of watching it all the more enjoyable.

Tough luck, Kinoko.

I think maybe he means "The ten (one) room eight (one) week competition". Read it without the parentheses or with the parentheses and not the word immediately before, as it is customary to read sentences of this structure.

And I disagree, smiley or no smiley.

Great job everyone, I played and tried to vote fairly for all the games. I hope more people will do so before Sunday.

And an entry for the previous Photoshop Contest.

Not sure if you can, but you can always have the one pixel wide border of the game screen be "off-screen", and if the cursor is there, do your magic. This is assuming the cursor is in fact positioned there when it moves outside, and not somewhere else crazy if you move it fast enough.

I second what CJ said. I have yet to read more than the first few lines of any of your posts. Carry on with this style of writing if you feel like it, and I'll carry on skipping over them.
