You really imagine that if this project ever got off the ground (horrible pun not intended) there wouldn't be a public outcry if they only sampled people from a few races?

Desktop!
The woman is Zhang Ziyi if anyone cares. I don't really, the photo from the press kit of 2046 just looked nice and was in an appropriate resolution.

Edit: Not that I ever look at the desktop unless I reboot.

You can easily change the string your browser uses as the User Agent in Opera (by default) and Firefox (using an extension) and probably Mozilla but I don't know how in that.

Here's the Firefox extension: http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/useragentswitcher

The site probably won't work anyway, but it's worth a try.

What is a Photoshop Phwednesday?

See this link:
http://www.somethingawful.com/photoshop/

And for other examples, see here:
http://www.worth1000.com/

The two above websites should give a fair idea of what is involved. Also you can check out the earlier Photoshop Phridays in this forum.

Note: Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images.

Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used.

What do I have to do?

This week's Photoshop Phriday is "Adventure Game Merchandising".

What if adventure games were so popular merchandising became lucrative, beyond T-Shirts sold on the publishers' websites. Imagine LeChuck beard combs or Sam & Max weapon licenses. Go crazy.

Here's an example image to set you of:

Oh, and I don't want funny people posting actual adventure game merchandise. You suck.

But also I think the visual would help.  Rather than a character exclaiming these things... what if we see the image in their head of what they'd do with the room?  The bar transforms into a giant editing bay, for example.

Now that's another thing entirely. I like that idea.

It sounds like it'd be amusing the first time, the rest of the time it'd just get embarassing to watch. "We've got the point already; you're film geeks. Move on". I'm afraid I don't have any good suggestions on how to improve the idea, but I do like the basic idea of film geeks using a frat house as a film making house instead of partying there.

Wonderful. Beijing gains another quirkily drawn building which looks out of place with the rest of the city. Any more and soon they'll effectively have a monopoly. That city is the architects' holy Mecca, I'm sure.

I do indeed despise it. Thanks for the link, I'll try googling for some others but I'm afraid of the Furry Law of Google; Whatever you search for you will find furry porn.

No, he just gradually stopped posting, which noone really noticed since he never posted much. Then he was gone, or I guess maybe the time between him posting has simply increased exponentionally. We shall never know.

Edit: Never mind that, where the hell is Scurvyeye?

Just thought I should point out that the last comic on your website, Sugar & Spice, links to the UFO Catchers comic when you reach page 2.

I also enjoyed what little there was of the Mahiru no Tsuki comic (Midday of the Month? My amazing skills at Japanese was only able to recognice the two last words, Jim Breen's JDIC helped with the first.) Let us know when the next installment is released, I rather like the concept of fan-made manga comics, much like fan-made/homebrew/amateur/whatever adventure games. Is there some place which list where to find them online or do most of them just get sold at conventions?

Something like that. It involved oiling at least.

Awesome obstacle course!

You have it easy. I have to mentally type a command in English before I can do anything but walk. I spent an entire day trying to eat once because I couldn't remember the English word for "digest".

Slandering the King of Sweden would be akin to flogging a dead horse. Pointless, yet hilarious.

Forget all those people, where the heck is Scurvyeye? He was even going to add my avatar in his RON game.

Try looking for programs that let you save flash files from websites. I've only used one once years ago so I can't recommend anyone. A quick google search found this http://flash2x.net/flashhunter/, but I don't know if it's good.
