Alright thanks.

Now I'm trying to make an intro, but I don't want the main character to actually appear in the background. I was thinking of either spawning him off-screen (not sure if it's possible), or make it transparent. And I don't want to use the normal pop-up box to display non-character speech; I want to narrate the back-story as white speech in the middle of the screen.

Yea, I'm a noob :/.

Thanks, works now. Sorry for the question spamm, but how do i change the game default speed?

Can you explain how the script works exactly?

Edit: Also, how do I import sprites without using the transparency feature?

Edit edit: The script gave an error about "unexpected 'cs' ".

Hey guys, is there any way to simulate an animation background with more than 4 frames? I don't know if I can do it with objects, I just wanted to get an opinion first.

Thanks :).

Critics' Lounge / WIP - Need help

So I decided to draw this bunny today, and I suddenly had to urge to make it look nice in Photoshop.

So I scanned it, opened it with Photoshop, and tried this:

I copied the image from the background layer to a new layer, and set it to "Multiply", and created another layer under it. I then deleted the background layer and started erasing the areas of the paper scan so the paint wouldn't look all dott-y. After erasing it, I went on the bottom layer and used the paint brush to start coloring. Here is where I got so far, need some tips on how to make the outline look nice:

BTW the image is a bit big.

General Discussion / Stupid PSP9 question
Sun 24/09/2006 14:48:43
Ok I know this is a stupid question, but how the hell do I use the polygonal lasso tool in paint shop pro 9? It's just not there, iv tried everything, the only relevant tool I can find is the magic wand tool but that just doesn't work.

Thanks :/.

Alternatively, you can fetch the file from the temporary internet files.

I'm currently playing Broken Sword 1, and watched the cutscene at the castle (where you go down the secret passage). Now, it felt like the cutscene ended prematurley somehow, where does he get the name? What was down there? Why doesnt he tell the girl anything about it? There wasent and speech at all in the scene, if it crashed or something, can someone tell me what happened exactly down there please? Kinda ruined the plot of the game :/.

Yes I was wondering the same thing, maybe they used him to attract the Tall Man into this world, but when he found Trilby to be dead, he killed the other guy (forgot the name) and came into this world by offering him?

Don't know I just figured science you can see him as the Tall Man's slave in the end.

You'll find that most people here object to the ripping of game sprites and backgrounds. Personally I'm one of them, as half the fun of making a game is drawing this stuff.  :P

I'm not making a game with them, I just want to practice a bit, forgot how to do anything with AGS.

Hi, I'm new here  :D.

I don't know if this belongs here or not, but it was the best place I could see.

Can anyone please direct me to a site that contains the Monkey island GUI (the enhanced version that was used in Secret of monkey island CD-Version), and a program that extracts the recourses stored in the monkey island files (i.e. backgrounds etc).

Thanks :).

Arnold S. is the king of all heroes!

...And he still is!

Note: The sprite is taken from my upcomming game!

Oh my god, I think that’s the game I’m looking for!

Does it match my description? If so then please give me a link.

A golden sword stuck in a pillar shaped stone. I did this for practice with my tablet, and it looks very empty.
