Replace the batteries and clean the plug. That fixed mine until I pulled the chord and the connection snapped. I've gone through 3 keyboards, 2 mice and a tablet that way. :P

Has anyone used 3D GameMaker? It doesn't look half bad, but can you import your own models? I couldn't find anything on their site for the life of me.

Bechaz it's uber sweet. It's not like those cheap sellouts at Mircosoft. They don't know nuttin'!

Really should belong in the tutorials thread in the Critic's Lounge.

Very nice tutorial. The only thing I don't like about it (besides bad perspective) is the lack of reasoning behind the techniques. Even though I know why I should use what colors and for what, many other people don't.

I remeber seeing these photos around the holidays last year in an email. I would imagine, if weather permits, that there will be another festival this year?

Actually the horizontal lines are more correct. A rock formation like that results from constant water hitting apon it. So most likely in this case, the ocean, which hits horizontal. However, places like under the bridge and under where it attaches to the wall would look much better vertical.

Also watch how you are working your colors. I like the reflective blue, but it isn't reflecting on the under side of the bridge. And your light source, I would imagine, isnt blue either, but a yellow. So along the brightest highlights from the sun, I would add some yellow-green.

Oddly when we had the old banner very, very few people asked what games they were. I say lose it all together.

But that means there's got to be better ideas.

I used to have terrible cable connections. About 1/3 of the time my internet didn't work and half of the time if would cut out every 10 minutes then come back on. About 5 different guys from the cable company came over about 20 times. They had no idea why it was doing this, and tried dozens of theroies. Eventally they laid a new cable source line and we haven't had problems since.

I thought this was interesting. Not a ton of proof, or a huge link, but a link non-the-less.

Edit: Another article.

What file type are you saving as? Saving as JPG and GIF in Paint will change your colors. Saving as BMP or PNG will not. Try saving as a PNG.

Evil's Tutorial on custom colors in MS Paint.

In Paint:

1. Click on Color in the task bar, then Edit Colors
2. Click Define Custom Colors
3. Click on a white square Under Custom Colors
4. Then choose your color from either Basic Colors or the color pallet
5. Then click Add to Custom Colors
6. Do this for as many colors as you'd like

While drawing you can either go back to the custom colors and select a color, or:

1. Double click on a color at the bottom you wish to change.
2. Choose your new color
3. Select ok and the color will switch

Though you can't save these pallets, you can write down the specifics for your colors you need in a text document. In Define Custom Colors there are 2 sets of numbers; Hue, Saturation and Luminosity (HSL) and Red, Green, and Blue (RGB). Write down either set of numbers (I prefer RGB) and then punch them in when you need that color.

Theres nothing really to comment on. No acutal content, pretty generic, and I see no purpose to the website. What is it that you and your "Web Team" do?

Warmer pages are overrated and really should only be used with flash or java based sites.

Developer, please keep short, unhelpful comments to yourself. If you don't have something important to say, don't say anything.

The newest version does look a lot better. However I'm not real sure what the bright green things are. I would imagine they are tubes. A little shading, like on the control pannel, might help them look more like tubes.

Yes, the lighthouse could use a cast shadow. I like the dark outlines and it would be nice to see them on, maybe, some rocks or tufts of grass.

It looks like he's giving them the finger. ^_^

"Hey isn't that Socrates?"
"I dunno, let me look in out history book."
"Oh, its under SO-CRATES."
