They just look like scaled down high-res images. Nothing special. Don't know what you're looking for.

I'd actually recommend against the HP Pavilion.

I paid a lot for mine and it's a piece of trash. Slow, somewhat unreliable, horrible battery life even with the best batteries they offer. They're not that cheap, BUT the screen is gigantic. Perfect for working with PS or Illustrator.

Yeah, we talk about the river reversing where I live. I live minutes from the river on the turn on the eastern side of Iowa. I've also heard of ground liquidation, where the ground moves like water. I didn't feel it here in Iowa City, but I know some people that did. I recall waking up around that time, but not for what reason.

It's all pretty dark. I think it's supposed to look like wood, but the objects are really hard to see. And if even so, with a texture like that, I'd expect the objects to be anti-aliased. I can tell what the walk, talk, touch and see controls are (the eye needs some help), but the save, load functions are confusing. Why not write out the word or make it a separate screen, like if you hit esc. I'm guessing that the briefcase is inventory.

No idea why it says "BASTARD!" If it's the title, it should be a little more fancy.

LGM and I have been friends for 6 or 7 years, and are currently roommates and will be for the next 16 months.

3164 in six and a half years.

Nothing like Grundy. That's impressive.

All of the links Nikolas posted are great. I also like SampleSwap.org, but those are mostly music and drum samples, but there are a few really SFX like doors and blips and the like.

Got a birth certificate? I had to have mine to get my SS card in the first place. I think that an ID, even though not valid anymore, should be enough with a birth certificate.

I think if you call the SS office, talk with the manager, and explain your situation, including how short their employee was with you, things will work out. You've got documentation, it's just old.

He's dead.

You know how the hitman business is. Always getting killed and whatnot.

Well, the door seems a little big and a little mis-shapen. That one sliver of metal is distracting, and I would move the whole door to the right so that it "fits" better.

The rust looks pretty good. I'd adjust the door shape a bit and fix some of the metal sheet shapes a bit. I think that if you added a highlight to the edges of the sheets, it would make the rust look better. The dark lines look out of place. Or even make them less dark in some spaces, like on your reference photo.

Back when I was in middle school, there was a science teacher that was sexually harassing girls in his classes. They all called him on it, but because there was no evidence against him, and it was all on the testimony of a few girls, they couldn't do anything about it.

Eventually, all of the girls in all of his classes requested to be transferred to another class because of this harassment. You'd think that would be enough to get him investigated, right? Well, he had tenure and his wife was on the school board or something, and he's still teaching at that school. It's madness that for something that apparent, they can't or won't do anything.

You did the right thing. If you hadn't taken action, they're story would probably been just ignored.

A long time ago, I saw a thing on TechTV (Back when it was still TechTV, thats how long ago) where they did something similar. It was right when the XBox came out. They took apart a dog shock collar of some sort, and modded a controller and replaced the rumble with a taser to the palm. It worked pretty well, so they said, but I can't imagine using that taser thing all the time. It would get really annoying.

I mean, you could shock people, but they wouldn't want to play if they knew that they would get shocked, yet alone buy a special controller.

Yeah, the colors of everything else, like the walls and wood furniture, are great, but those reds are too bright. Even if they were, hypothetically, supposed to be that color, they could still use some toning down. Some shadows around the plant and the radiator and the desk/drawered table would be helpful. Also, the perspective looks alright, but there are some problems. The door/wall width is large, but there's no top to the doorway. It's a paper thin wall with deep sides to a doorway.

(desaturated so you could see my lines :p )

The windows and radiator are HUGE. I drew lines from the door to show what a doorway on the back wall would look like. Also the walls and some objects don't line up to a vanishing point. Mine's not that accurate, but it proves my point.

Personally, I don't care. People get too offended, too easily. As long as it isn't disgusting or in horribly bad taste, I don't see why not.

And like Gilbot said, scale it down in PS, and no one will know.

When I was a kid I never wanted to take piano, and now I regret it. I've wanted to play for the longest time, because, like you said, it sounds amazing just by itself. Then again, I also want to learn to play the sax, violin and sitar. I just want to learn to play everything. That'd make it easier.

IE, bitches. Who needs firefox anyway?

"But you'll get viruses, and spam, and firefox doesn't do that!"

Seriously, who cares? They're no different, and you know it. Shut up.
