Over all it looks good. Very simple. Maybe shift the buttons and make the countries brick stacked, you know? Right now it's boring.

The layout is nice. The logo seems a bit out of place, not really sure what it is or how it relates to a fish. Also, when coding, make the band photos smaller, because they've obviously been shrank, but not resized. That weird grain of a shrank photo.

This should have been posted in the same thread. If the art is from the same game, most of the time it should be in the same thread. This is the same sprite, just a different angle.

I Like Mash's a lot, but I'd make the feet a pixel longer.

LGM used to do it. Personally, I think Guitar Hero is silly. I can shread most of the songs on Guitar Hero on the guitar, but I can't play with those stupid five button guitars. It makes me so mad.

My PC has some weird drivers and I have to run a program that came with my computer to activate my card or something. Have you deleted any audio programs that came with your PC?

Some people have no idea how to do anything art related, or even computer related. They may have spent 100 hours working on this doing a lot of criticing themselves.

It's not a matter of not trying hard enough, it's a matter of what they see as needing correction. They might not have noticed the stray pixels, or maybe they want them. I dunno.

I don't think it's that bad. This is the Critics Lounge and we should be respectful of people's art, and even more so for their courage to post it.

I'm pretty sure that, because of the angles and the movement, it's photos laced together. Which is fine, a lot of professional teams use this method. The angle of the character is very different. Are you using this with an isometric background?

Other then the few stray pixels (grey line on the bottom) and some fuzzy greys around the pants, it's good. Very stylistic. Mind posting some more sprites or backgrounds to compare it to? We can't give you a whole lot of help if we don't know the details of it's use.

Depends. If I ask for gifts, the overall value might be higher then the money.

But it's not cash. :D

I think the problem with the booth is the depth. The lines look more like decoration then acutal shapes. I just added some highlights and I think it helps a bit.

Also, the blue boxes (posters?) on the right side of the image stand out too much to me.

LGM, how many times must I tell you. GREEN not BLUE. Green. That way it doesn't turn purple.

Somewhat off topic, but Zach Anner is hilarious. The three months of news to We Didn't Start the Fire made me die of laughter.

You'll need to use another program other then AGS to make the animation. There's a free program called unFREEze that will take .GIF frames and animate them. You can get it here. http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/

I LOVE Steve's idea. The hyphenated/line broke words take a lot away. Speech and thought bubble shapes can add a lot to frames too. Your characters and coloring are very dynamic, why ruin it with crappy bubbles?

I have no idea what the chalk board is supposed to be angled at. Here's my take on it. Didn't fix the shadow.

Try resetting your brush set. That usually does it for me. Or if you have CS2, you can adjust your pressure sensitivity in the brush tab at the top right.

Don't mean to be a jerk, but maybe you're just running too much stuff. Change around what starts up durring your startup and what runs in the background. I ran with 256 for the longest time, and I didn't have much of a problem. Only issues I had were with my graphics on my motherboard and my crappy monitor. For RAM, 512 isn't bad at all. Not for a family computer.

Reminds me of the Rugrats game. Not too appealing, but I bet it sells well.

I've had problems similar to this one. I too felt that despite the fact I wasn't interested any more, I still felt the need to help. In reality it's just a cry for attention. I know some people say that can't get out of abusive relationships, but they can. The best thing is to be nice but steer clear of any time outside of classes. If you don't see her for a few days, check in and see how her schooling is going. Don't cut her off. Be a friendly aquentance, not a friend.

And most of all, don't think about it.

Besides, a lot of the time they miss the abuser and go back to them.
