Usually dead means no one has posted for several days. After two weeks, unless it's severely important to bump, all continued conversation should be elsewhere.

I've got a terrible addiction to buying music equipment. I recently bought an Ibanez Artcore, a hollowbody with a Bigsby style tremolo. It doesn't stay in tune at all. If you work with the tremolo a lot it'll loosen up and I can play without tuning for a while, but use it rarely and it'll throw you'll whole tuning out.

I have a great computer tuner, and I used to have a tiny hand tuner, but sooner or later I'm going to need a sturdy tuner for shows. Right now it's between the Boss TU-2 and the Fender PT-100.

The Fender is half as much as the Boss, but the Boss has a cent display. Anyone have any of these? Is the cent display worth the extra $50?

I know you can get reviews of these things online (MusiciansFriend), but I rather hear it from a person that doesn't say "OMG! Tehish es teh BeSt tuNers eVres@!1"

Also, any tone difference between the Big Muff and the Little Big Muff?

I guess this could turn into a "Here's my Rig" thread, which might be fun too.

Well, after revising the technicalities for what is considered a planet, they say that now there are more then three other "objects" that could now be considered planets. So in getting smaller, we may even expand.

The textures could use some evening out. The shading on the leaves and the chair are very blured, but the trunk of the tree, box and wood pile (white thing?) are all very sharp. The rocks under the tree could use some darker shadows, and the far islands need a beach line.

You're more likely to get noticed by your ISP and then they'll slap a big fine on you. Most ISPs don't allow ANY servering of any kind. If you're doing low end websites, you could slip by, but if you're doing big transfers all the time and your bandwidth shoots up, then you'll be in trouble.

And for God's sake, don't call and ask them about it.

The term "texture" doesn't mean gradient. It's a good start, but there's not a lot going on. You've got a strange light source that's comming from nowhere. Space light, ambient light, blub on the ceiling? Remove the gradients and work on some more details, then add some shadows and highlights rather then just a general gradient.

I love the skin tones, but I think the fade from bark to skin could be better. Either make the change slower, or have the bark dissolve. The hair strands could be thinner and the eyes could use some grey shading to give them some depth. Over all the light source could use some tightening up, but proportion wise and style, it looks good.

The brown on the pants looks bad. She looks very elegant, but she has dirt over her pants and behind.

Also, where are all of these cute girls that wander around topless?

You're on the right track cloth wise, but her proportions need some work. Her hips are very slim and her right leg is short. Making the knee in the foreground bigger will help, but it might still need a few pixels to the length.

The jokes aren't superb, but the caricature of the Mac guy is great.

The perspective looks fine except for the lights. The heights of things are off. The tables and desk are too short in comparision to the doors. Lot of excess ceiling too.

There is no perspective of the pavement, because there's nothing to justify it. Maybe some cracks or some objects on the sidewalk to help give it some depth. After you've chosen a vanishing point, you could change the sides of the street lines to give them some better depth.

After looking at Progs original, I agree that the bottoms would be better flat. But I think they should move more like a slug then a snake or just a blob. Stretch themselves forward then retract. I think the over all cuteness wouldn't be changed with this. Bouncing seems too cheery to me.

I think the walk cycles of the new ones will make them more penis like. I like the old ones, with some sort of ghost or jellyfish walk cycle. Though the new ones are cleaner, the older ones have much more style.

XP uses a wonky Shared Files system and you have to enable it to share with other computers on your network, so I think MSN is basicly trying to do the same thing. I know under My Computer you can access the Shared Files folder, but I dunno how much help that will be. Looks to be an awesome program, but I've never been a fan of MSN programs.

Aren't we forgetting a certain someone who shot another man in the face with a shotgun?

I know, but you need to use the light source (and I quote it again) as a "vanishing point" and draw from one point rather then two like you did in your first post. I guess I could have worded it better, but it's what I meant.

The diner's layout is too crazy to be low budget. Counter, a few tables and booths. Most of the diners are either high tech/good budget or a total dump with ugly wallpaper and torn up chairs from the 60's.

The character is looking alright. The black lines on his face are too contrasted. His mouth looks like a mustache. His side view looks a litttle thin IMO.

THANX! i didn't knew how to "put" the light right!!thanx!

SinSin's edit confuses me. I don't see how that works correctly. The light source should be the "vanishing point" not the corner of the wall. From your light source (sun, street lamp, headlights) draw lines to the corner of your objects. Depending on the room and the objects, some light might reflect and some won't be really crisp. Like around noon the sun can't be used as a vanshing point, so the center of the window could be used.

It's not a perfect method, but it'll give each room it's own personality other then just using the corners of your window.
