The internet should be rid of these such things. Pointless.

Shortened the neck and eyes, and lowered the hair line on the left. Collar bone could be lower in mine.

Neck is a little long. Eyes are a tad tall. The hairline on the left should come down further. Looks like he has no hair on the left side.

Yeah, a mix of 5 and 7, if well planned, would make a great style for a game.

Is there an invert code for shadows and such?

If someone told me they made a game in Game Maker, I'd probably find it less impressive then in C.

And if he's looking for a programmer, a lack of programming knowledge doesn't make a real difference.

Remakes of non-adventure games into adventure games can be hard. Most games already have the typical adventure puzzles. Find the key, find the button, distract the bad guy, etc.

Look at shooter games. Move from one end of a building to another to reach a location, but there are obstacles along the way, such as doors and gaps, that you need to find some sort of lever to proceed. Sure it'd make a fun adventure game. But when you take away the guns and the violence you have a less popular game.

Examples: Wolfenstein would make a terrible adventure game. Something like FarCry might work. Dune is questionable in my opinion, but what made these games fun are their key elements, and a lot of those elements don't transfer well to other genres.

I believe (and I'm no C expert), that there are "plug ins", if you will, to do most of those things. Keyboard input, processor speeds, audio. I'll give you that it'd be harder to do all of the graphics, but Game Maker is kind of cliche. If it was so simple to make that decision, why wouldn't major companies just use AGS or Game Maker?

Why do it in Game Maker when he could have someone do it in C?

I say make some of the art and then post on some forums. Not only might it spark more people's interest, but you'd get more actual coders and less newbies that think they rule because they can make Tic-Tack-Toe.

Well, as America has previously decided, he's not the American Idol.

Well, you should mention this is just a paint-over.

You could be more consistant with the black lines. Some frames they go away around his legs, and his hat doesn't have any at all. You have some shading, but it's not contrasted enough to notice.

But if you make a whole bunch of money, be sure to send Chris Jones (the creator) a thank you.

Yeah, but word press has thousands of templates. If you find the one right for your page, changing hex colors and stuff is pretty basic.

Like somebody said, there's something a bit odd about her legs. I've pushed them back one pixel to show you what this means, though it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Seems to me her skirt was too far forward, and there wasn't enough "from the back", making her look butt-less. Basicly shifted the skirt right one pixel, along with some other small things that didn't change much. I adjusted the bust, but looking at it, there's not much of a point to it.

What he needs is a monocle.

Hmm, if no one recognized him, maybe Jesus and one of his followers planned the whole thing. Fake his resurrection?

But this is a public forum, so do you have to get permission for each user quoted? Or can CJ just give the approval because he has "ownership" of the forums and everyone chooses to post here?

Rules are a little shakey. How long do our lyrics need to be? What should they be about? A country western style song isn't a very good theme. Maybe something like "Write a song about living on the open range," or something. Maybe refine the rules a bit.

It won't work out. If you like the idea, just sugjest it for MAGS. It'd be pretty much a one time thing anyway.

Wow, everyone one (including LGM, you cheating bastard :D ) had fantastic entries. I'm sorry I don't have the time to write critics and comments for everyone, but they'd all be praise anyway.

And the winner of this week(ish)'s Tune Contest is Biothlebop! Your entry had a great sense of calmness before the storm of aliens, perfect for an AGS game. Congrats to you and thanks to all of the other contestants and their entries.

In school I used to say, "Stop me if you've heard this one. There once was a man from Nantucket-" By then most teachers would shush me, but one time a teacher stared at me daring me to go on.

"Uh... Who tripped and fell in a bucket. The end."

Vince: That comic is great.
