Time for this week's installment of the Tune Contest. The rules are simple; create an original song however you want. You can use midi, actual instruments, or even make instrument sounds with your mouth. Every week there is a chosen theme and some rules and all songs should follow those.

This weeks theme is Flyin' Saucers/UFOs!

The Rules:
- Your song must paint a picture in our minds of those crazy, hovering unidentifiables.

Tips/Ideas:
- Choose a special sound for your craft to make it stand out from the others. Pull out those Moog samples from the back of your library. Or maybe give it something more wild, like a bassoon or harmonica.
- Pan your sounds to give it the feeling of movement.
- Try and use different tempos and dynamics, giving us an idea how fast, or slow, this thing is going.

So pull out those Theremins and slide whistles and let's get started!

Woot. Start one as soon as I think of a theme.

I'll get my guitar out and try something too.

Edit: Well, I recorded something. And very poorly at that. A lot of the tracking is offset durring the chorus for some reason. And it's 2:04. I could have trimmed it, but it was rushed as is. Woo for minor key rock'n'roll's.

Edit 2: LGM titled it Zombie Hot Rod, so, that's what I'm gonna title it.

Zombie Hot Rod

I've got Norton and Ad-Aware and they work just fine for my setup. I had AVG ontop of everything for a while, but Norton was mostly everything and what it didn't, Ad-Aware picked up. I use Norton because it's at no cost to me, but if AVG is just as good. Norton has a helpdesk and are liable for some things, I'm not exactly sure what.

You've got the right idea, but your exagerations are in the wrong place. The skinny one is far to skinny in the arms, legs, feet and neck. They all hold a lot of style, but they just need some revamp.

Also, what res do you plan on making this game? These sprites are huge.

Hmm, I wrote a post, but never posted it.

Overall, it sounds great. VERY Silent Hill. But there were two things that pulled me out of the mood. The third chord of the organ progression is too much. And the fast picking segment isn't long enough. I mean, the fast part sounds good, but the quarter note at the end could be split into two sixteenth notes. Rather then E,D what about E,D,C?

The new one looks good, but the leg doesn't have enough forshortening when the knee comes up. Maybe something like this?

I dunno.

Some people can pixel from photos well.

I think we should be more concerned with the parrot's ass hairs in that photo.

LGM and I went to a surf/rockabilly festival this week and that's what everyone wears. Either a tight black, greaser shirt or a bowling shirt.

Well, here's my take on it.

Things that need change:
The knees were too small to really notice, so I made them 1 pixel bigger. I also dropped the hair curl to the bottom of the head so they look less like a sideburn curl.

Things I changed for fun:
I stroked everything because it makes it stand out a little more. The arms look a little wierd but when animated, I bet it'll look better. And all of the hip cats wear cool threads. So I popped a bowling shirt on him. Not really rockin' colors, but I kept what you had.

The only tip I can give you is that Sculpey Clay does NOT dye, so don't even try it.

We like big, flat images. We're old school.

I like the idea of limiting someone's PM abilities, but that's only going to cause them to spam the boards. I think our best bet is to disable PMs for the time being until this can be worked out. Even if they need 1000 posts to send a PM someone will sit and post 1000 times.

Is is possible to limit PMs to users? I mean, how many new members do we get a day? And how many of those are from Hawaii? We could just approve those that aren't from Hawaii.

Also, what is a the probability that these bots can randomly guess the answers to the quiz? Maybe we need to institute a written section. Type out Yes or No in realivence to a question?

ALRIGHT I ADMIT IT. IT WAS ME. I DO THIS BECAUSE ASIAN PORN NEEDS MORE RECOGNITION

I watch enough asian porn for everyone. I don't think that is the issue.

Now relevent once more.

His torso moves like he has a stiff leg. The shoulder closest to us should go past his "body" right now it moves back and to the middle, but doesn't go forward. The gimping walk makes him look more dangerous, but his shoudler would still move forward a few pixels. His knees are also very high.

I'm sure someone can forward you some over the top porn pictures if you'd like.
