I recently dyed my hair bright, surf blue. Everyone was talking about how I looked like a smurf. We got into talking about how the only Smurf with hair was Smurfette, and she wasn't even a real smurf. Then talks about facial hair being white and such. But one person suprised me with an interesting fact that smurfs were origionally cell shaded green, but the color adjustments between editing and tv settings, made them look blue. As time progressed, they kept the producers chose to keep the blue color.

I loved that hat. :(

But if you must go with the pony tail then go with something like Prog's. It's much more girly, and much less "sexy" as the current style.

So often I'll be working on a piece of art and say "I wonder what this painting would look like with black here... Wow, I ruined it. Ctrl+Z... Shit."

Sometimes, when writing, I'll "press shift" while writing a capital letter. I've also tried to Alt+Tab through some papers before.

I wouldn't suggest opening up a monitor because there are some dangers. Sometimes though, the cable isn't soldered to the monitor, but attatched with another set of connectors. Typically it's behind a pop-out cover on the back. Most LCD screens use this feature, but I'm sure there are some newer monitors that have it aswell.

If you do go the route of actually fixing it, you could probably buy a cheap cable online and have a local repair shop do it. If you want to do it yourself, I say cut the end off and put a new one on, rather then solder on the boards. You'd have to put some shrink casing on the wires, but you dont run as much of a risk of ruining the whole monitor.

You cant cut a perfect triangle out of a cylinder so that the base is flat with the bottom. Using a perfect triangle gives it a slanted base, giving the preception you might slide out.

Not perfect, but it's not as confusing.

For beginners in pixel art, those who might change large aspects of their art, Photoshop can be hard, with the automated blurring and transparencies and the liking.

Quote from: MrColossal on Tue 04/10/2005 05:59:38I don't understand what Evil is saying in the slightest but.. differen't strokes!

My point was it doesn't matter what program you're using if you don't know how to pixel well. If you can't drive well then what does it matter if you drive a car or truck?

Most people start with MSPaint before then move up to something bigger like PS. It's a lot easier to know how to pixel and have some idea of what you are going to pixelate before you mess around with transparencies, layers, auto-a.a., etc.

A lot is just how comfertable you are with the program. Be sure you're using the pencil tool or un-antialiased line tool. If you're one to often change an image around, PS isn't the best. Most people that use it for pixeling have a lot of experence with pixeling before using PS.

Totally diggin' this guy. Lots of character and style. He looks a lot different from you typical characters.

The good ol' days can be easily defined. The days when m0ds would change his avatar once a week to a new animated one of himself.

Heh, like when everyone changed their avatars to the crotch hand one.

Phew, I was expecting another ten page story about you sleeping with another woman.

I was too worried to put it directly on my house, so I put it on my parking spot at my highschool.  8)

I like the second one better. The higher contrast makes the bear and shade stand out more.

Every girl you draw is so cute. You design these characters to please me, I think.

Yeah, I still have most of my toys too. But my favorite toys were my lego. I've got two, 6 gallon tubs full of lego as well as about 30 large scale sets still in their boxes, in the back of my closet.

I used to have a Sega Genisis, but I traded it in for a playstation. Stupid me! >_<

All this talk makes me want to go play with my toys...

For a high tech space station, they'd probably have more then two levels. Maybe add a stairway to another level in the open space. Maybe like a subway or something? I do like the stair idea Prog posted. I'm not so sure about the vegitation though. I think if you added it, it may look too much like the hanging gardens and less like a space station.
