I've always loved your use of preportion, but I think that her waist is too thin and her hips are really far back.  Sort of looks like she is a centar or something.

The Rumpus Room / Re: Best ROCK song ever!
Wed 29/06/2005 08:51:20
There are hundreds of types of rock, with millions of songs for each. This thread is pretty pointless in my opinion. It's basicly a "post your favorite song and bash other peoples music!" thread.

It all looks good except for the lights above the bar. The ones in then foreground have a nice dark fade but the ones in the background don't.  But I think it could all be fixed if you adjusted the far section. From the bookcase over looks like a paint over in a fangame. It looks very out of place.

What are the "rules" before a thread is started?

Yes, very nice Rincewind. I'm not too fond on the vocals either but the dual on Parasite Dreams about half way through sounds great. Schizophrenia has a great riff, but the timing sounds weird. All still awesome.

I love that ska version. I have a ton of their stuff but I still don't know what the band name is! :-p

I was thinking the same thing too. But my band doesn't have enough of our own material to "battle". Though we did get the best crowd reaction at my high school's botb.

That is true, but I'm talking flash movie/pointless logo. But websites can be written to tell you that if you don't have IE that it would work better if you did. I've came across those in headers before.

The mouse game was hard! I really enjoyed that one, but the others were ok.

Very nice. I agree with Helm. I think asking questions, other then ags related, would be great. What they do in there free time, other hobbies they enjoy, interesting things about them, etc. That's would be the number one reason I dislike zine interviews, is that they are stuck on one single topic, which is usually boring.

I enjoy a simple layout, even if it somewhat-... Overdone.

Organization is key, as is making it easy for me to find what I'm looking for (whatever it may be). But if you have everything beveled like this and everything in this shade of color with a 37 degree whatever, I could care less. In some cases it looks nice.

There are a lot of things I hate. Music I can't turn off is number one. I want to listen to my own music, not theirs. And most of the time someone has music on a website, it's loud and obnoxious. Another thing I hate is bright fonts. Limit colors to black on white, white on black. If it's dark red on a light tan, that's fine. So long as the color values are not exactly the same.

Intro pages are very, very unprofessional and stupid in my opinion. Other people may think differently. The only site where it's relative would be a site providing information on a new movie.

There is more, but those are fundamentals.

The girl's hips are a bit high. All of the feet could use some help. Like in Prog's edit, try only showing the "front" of the foot. Colors also could use some help. The girl's are all really close to eachother, making it hard to see the changes. The middle guy has come of the best colors, IMO, mostly in his arms and face. But if you're going to use the face paint, or whatever, try making it a color that goes better with the skintone, like a purple or a maroon.

Well, the whole angle of the lights is weird. You've got a lot of reflected light from the lava which really effects those lights.

First off, they seem too white. I'd make them more of a yellowish color.

As a light travels down a wall, it tends to get darker at the bottom. A slight gradient on the lit area on the wall might help. Also the light is going to be less 'white' on the ground, it'd probably be just a shade lighter then the ground.

I would also dim the lights on the building and add a slight gradient to it, making it darker at the top. If you make the rest of the building a lot darker, it'll make the lava look a lot brighter, and in essence, make the lava look hotter, making the whole scene much muggyier. (sp?)

LGM, can I not take my slutty girlfriends out to a movie without you bickering? Sheesh.

Actually, it looks really good. It's the first tralier I've ever seen on tv that I've actually been sort of grossed out. And I'm not easily grossed out. Most of the stuff they eat on Fear Factor we eat in my house all the time.

DG soiled your old thread with his unhumorous comment. It had to be abandoned. Or I just didn't see it.

Hmm, well if that's the case, you may want to make it totally different from the rest of the island. A grouchy man I can see as living in a bog of some sort. Kind of like Shrek, ya know? I don't think he'd have flowers and such things. Maybe give him some dirt and dead grass and bushes.

If he's not, he should be. We're just trying to help you out before you're flamed. Many threads like yours have been locked because the don't follow some of the rules. And yours doesn't happen to follow any.

Darth already told you to go to the ACR thread. And you've been told twice to change your signature.

I was flipping channels and a familiar face caught my eye. Andy Milonakis. It was a commercial for his new show on MTV, 'The Andy Milonakis Show.' It starts Sunday I believe, I'm not sure though.

Andy hit the bigtime. Congrats Mr. Penis.

The second I read the theme all I could think of was "Damn you ice cream! Get into my mouth!"
