Awesome idea I must say. It sounds like a lot of fun. LGM and I are really interested in entering, but will not be free for a month or so. Hopefully it will be a success and there will be more in the future.

2ma2 and Yahtzee, for their amazing games obviously. But I've got a lot more idols on the forums for other things. M0ds for his movie and script writing skills. Trap for his musical talent. Phil Reed for his writing and comical styles. There are tons of other people too. Andail, Helm, Darth, Eric, DG, LGM, Remixor, Eggie. I'm sure there are more I can't think of.

Oh, and Al because he is teh sexieh. :-*

These forums are number one on my list. I'm on www.xanga.com a lot also. If I'm really bored, I play games on the forums of my website, www.mikeandharry.com.

Quote from: Dark of Night on Sun 03/04/2005 02:12:40But i was more upset that one of my favorite comedians Mitch Hedberg passed away the other day.Ã,  He was really funny and i loved watching his stand up on Comedy Central.

OMG! Mitch Hedburg died! That's so sad! I may just have to make a baked potatoe in his memory. RIP Mitch.

Wait, what about the Pope?

Critics' Lounge / Re: Playing with 16 colors
Sun 03/04/2005 06:58:14
Overall the color is nice, but the background itself could use some work.

I think when people haven't used 16 colors before they worry more about the color then the image, usually making the image as a hole look bad.

I've always done this, and its worked for other people I know. Take the opposite colors, and redraw the picture. IE, orange water, purple sand.  It may seem a little alienish, but after you have the image looking perfect, switch the color.

Your drawing looks good for some of your firsts, just keep at it. :)

Hah, yes. The explosition was awesome! But I don't know what LGM is talking about! Real life explosions are always sparkly, multi-colored, and sound like firecrackers!

Ahhh, teen geek love. Been there, done that.

Well, you should probably use the bathroom before you go on your date so you don't shit your pants mid-kiss.

Well, the Indy one seemed choppy. Kind of lost track of what was going on. The film was nice, though most of the camera styles didn't seem like a Indiana Jones movie to me.

Showreel was also nice. Some of the clips were rather great, like the second Tremmors clip. But others, like the last one, didn't tell me a thing about the movie. She was walking and then talked to a guy. Thats all I got. Also, some of the clips were short and to the point, but others went on too long. It was as if I was watching the uneventful sections of a movie.

Over all, rather good. I wish I could make films like these. But come on m0dsy, I expect higher quality from you. :)

I've got several nemesises.

Mrs Dodds - She's a big lady with a red headed fro. She's deadly with her skills in mathmatics. She hates students that know what they are doing and sleep in class (AKA: Me)

Alex S. - Not only is she the most annoying girl in the universe, she's preppy! Lives are lost due to her constant need for the wearing of pink. However, she may have a soft side to cute geeks like myself, because if she's not fighting with me, she's flirting.

I'm sure I have others. Hmm... this sounds like a good topic for a sprite jam.

It looks awesome, but prespective work may help it out a bit.

The indented section is a diferent prespective then the road and gate. It looks fine, just a little out of place imo.

The animation looks nice. However, he does seem to get bigger. Keep him the same size throught the animation and it'll improve it a lot.

Oh man! What a great site! Thanks a ton Geoffkhan! This will be great for my acting class.

The baracade of sand bothers me too. That part looks high above the water and the only way you would be able to get a sand wall that thin and sharp would be if it was wet. I'd make it wider and give it less of an incline.

Quote from: Mr Flibble on Sat 26/03/2005 22:30:12Evil, is Red Dwarf really as popular in America as the DVD commentaries would have us believe?

Not in Iowa, nor anywhere else as far as I am aware of. Don't get me wrong, it's great comedy, but America loves their "reality shows".

Quote from: PaulSC on Sat 26/03/2005 20:10:31But ooh, I just hate that slick, plasticy look all these modern high(er) budget BBC productions always have. At a time when US TV dramas can look every bit as great as high budget cinema productions, I find this kind of ugly, fake look very hard to swallow, to be honest.

I know what you mean. I can't watch BBC because the image quality drives me crazy. Though I still watch Dr Who or Red Dwarf on PBS every once in a while. Usually late at night when I'm too tired to notice the quality.

Yak, that's an easy fix. Click the bar in front of the task and drag it behind the quick launch.

I just use the circle tool, distort it to what I want, then trace it.

Did you know you can make nunchucks out of two beer bottles and a piece of hose?

... Goddamned alley-way ninjas.

You should just have to click the dot bar and drag it to the side.
