Maybe. I just played through the spells, and even though you do lose the spoon when casting the storm spell (which is a bit unrealistic, granted), I could still cast the teleportation spell without any problem despite not having a spoon.

It might be a bug... it is a bit strange that you lose the spoon after casting the storm spell even though it was just the mud that was used. Maybe try asking at IA to confirm (http://www.infamous-adventures.com/forum)

Though you can play the game without casting that spell (on the other hand, you miss out on a cool ending if you don't get full points)

Athirwen - don't follow the path to the left side of the rock. When you're at the bottom of the rock (on the lower part of the path), just try walking upwards onto the rock, and Gwydion should climb up.

Have you got any inventory items that could be used for magic, or taken anything that belongs to the wizard? eg, fly wings, cat fur, or anything else denoted by a red hotspot in the inventory? If you do and he catches you with them, you will die.

Basic aim so far is to try and create as many spells as you can in order to be free from Manannan. The game is playable, but probably trickier if you haven't played the original as there aren't too many hints and a lot of the game is exploring and picking up stuff.

If the wizard has gone, you have around 30 minutes to explore the countryside and obtain ingredients for the other spells. But you have to be back at the house before then, and everything useful for magic must be hidden away and the wand must be returned to its original place. One of the spells is particularly useful for getting rid of Manannan.

No I have tried every 'Room' indoors and out and I can't seem to cast the spell.

paolo - You cast the spell by looking at the spellbook in the lab, then clicking cast on the spell you want, and whether you have the right components or not, you will either get the spell or die. You can't actually manually combine ingredients like in kq6, which I think was a pity, but other people like it like this.

About the feather -

You need an empty jar. You can only get an empty jar after casting the becoming invisible spell. And I hope you've got swamp mud on the spoon

No, you shouldn't need to do that. Have you gotten the second release of the game (that is, the bugfixed version that was released with the voicepack?) Also, which spell are you trying to cast, and what inventory items do you have just before you cast that spell?

Have you also got the right utensils to cast the spell properly? (eg, spoon, jar, bowl, etc, depending on what you are casting)

From the paintings in the hallway, just keep clicking until you get them. I'm not sure about it disappearing, because when I rewind to the dawn of time, I don't lose that spell. So that's a bit strange, but maybe you might be able to get the spell again anyway.

Hopefully you kept clicking on 'More' if you had other spells and eventually it'd show up.

The stars are all spaced too evenly - really they should be in clusters and chaotically random, not placed an even distribution. You can also add in the occassional bigger/brighter star too. Google should have plenty of space pictures if you need reference.

No, it's digitally painted... he probably got the texture with lots of custom brushes and/or painter. Amazing number of quality works he has there, and I really like the motion blur he added in some images, not to mention colour and light.

You'll have to reload to an earlier save when you're on the main campus. Make sure you cross the road when there are no cars around, otherwise when you go back to the map screen from the disco, and you crossed just as a car was approaching before, the car will be there again and most likely hit you.

If you haven't gotten a spell from Calliope, talk to her after the second exam, and she'll tell you indirectly what she wants. You can then use the spell she gives you to obtain another spell, and from there yet another spell.

You may not immediately get a spell from the hallways by looking at the paintings, but eventually you should if you keep clicking. You can use that spell to get another useful spell.

The tricky part after that is passing the exams, but the hints in this thread should already help you out.  :)

No, but if you hover your mouse (wand) on the right place, it should eventually say 'suspicious book'. But you really don't need that spell ;)
