marlamoe, how long did it take you to beat?

Looks sweet! I'll download this soon after I'm done playing Grim Fandango. This should hopefully give it plenty of time to see what bugs the community finds so you can fix them. I don't want to downloaded 15mb on my slow connection only to have to do it again. If I had high speed interent, I'd download it now, but alas, I don't. So I'll patiently await till then.  ;D

It's a great game, but I've only ever played it once. I've had installation problems in the past but the main factor is extremely slow cd-reading. Out of interest how well did the CD's respond for you?

Well, I fully installed it to my HD and it runs like a dream when I was playing it for 10 minutes. No hiccups with my Dell Dimension 2400. It looks fantastic. I'm going to start playing it tomorro morning.  ;D

I also bought it recently, but I'm assuming Lucasarts have resold it - it says 'Lucasarts Classic' on the cover (I assume still published by Lucasarts though).  Installed on XP machine fine albeit slow, and the game worked good as new.

Well, the back of the CD booklet it says its from 1997. Its 10 years old! It was sealed by the way and cost me $28.88 minus shipping from Ebay.

I just got it today and was having trouble in the installation because I kept getting an 16 bit error about MS DOS. I almost gave up on it and finally found a solution to it.

Apparently I wass missing 3 files to run it. Had to put in XP and type 3 commands. I ended up doing this 3 times. I was gonna give up on my last try and I finally suceeded! It worked!

What I played was pretty damn good. Now I gotta call my IP to cancel. Lets see if they give me another free month of online service, if not, this will be my last post for a while. Until I get back online. Bye for now!  ;D

EDIT:

Well I tried to cancel my internet service and they gave me yet another free month. 3 times in a row so far. LOL

I wonder if I can break my record when AOL kept giving me 7 months for free until they finally kicked me out. :)

Now I don't have to worry about this for another month or so.

I just downloaded & played Apprentice 1, 2 & deluxe yesterday for a few minutes just to check them out. I'm kinda new here, so I've been dowloading like crazy, which has been keeping me busy.  It sure is sweet to be new here and have so many great games to choose from.

Any how, you seem to put all of effort in these games. It truly is amazing and I quickly became a fan within the a few minutes of playing the Apprentice games. I am looking forward to Apprentice III. I'll probably send a money order when you release it. I like the idea of the CD case. That would be great.

Including Super Jazz Man would be sweet too if you would include it with Apprentice III (*hint hint* Special Edition for a little extra with goodies) Heheehee! ;D

I don't really see what's so great about Iron Maiden.  I have a friend who is really into them, and he gave me one of their CDs, and it didn't do anything for me at all.  It's only my personal opinion, but Bruce Dickinson sounds like his pants are too tight.  Even the guitar work didn't really grab my attention.  Whatever, I guess I just don't have a taste for this kind of music.

One thing I've noticed, though; a trend, if you will.  Iron Maiden is getting popular again.  They're showing up in guitar and music magazines, they won a poll in Guitar World for "Best Comeback" in 2006 (whatever the hell that means).  I think they even released a CD recently.

At the same time, bands like Dragonforce are getting are getting popular.  They won just about every category in the Guitar World poll I just mentioned.

The two bands sound like the same kind of music to me, is my point.  So, that style of music must be the thing these days.

Since I'm surrounded by Iron Maiden fans, would any of you like to buy the CD I mentioned above?  I was going to sell it on e-Bay, unless someone here wants it...
"Powerslave" - $10 (paypal)

Yea, there are definately making a comeback ever since Bruce came back. Brave New World was a solid effort, than Dance of Death was a bit better especially the song called "Paschendale". Then their newest album (A Matter of Life & Death) which came out last year is absoultely awesome. I didn't think it could surpass Dance of Death, but it did.

As for Dragonforce, I'm not into them. Oh and $10 for Powerslave can be found brand new for a few extra bucks. I doubt you'll get that much for it.

I know, you know and the rest of the world knows it.  ;D

Anyone here into them?

Looks interesting. I like the art direction.

??? Makes me wonder if the sequel also has this corrupted file too.

Edit: You know what am pretty sure the sequel also has the same error since both come from the same link. Its from Herculean Effort Production website, but those files are no where to be found when you go there. I'd try downloading the sequel, but that would take me about 2 and a half hours on my modem. Not gonna risk it when I could be downloading something else. Don't want to get burned twice.

Yup. I too got that damn error. What a freaking waste of my time. I downloaded it from this site which I'm sure the topic creator did as well.  >:(

Note: Disregard my other topic.

I get this scripting error and says I need a new version of AGS. I wasted an hour and a half downloading the corrupted file. Any solutions to this?

Looking very nice indeed!  8)

Let see...

20MB takes me about 2 hours

160/20 = 8 x 2 = 16 hours

Woah!

LOL

I don't think I could be patient enough.  :)

I think I'll wait when I get high speed internet sometime this year. So I guess I'll wait. Once I get high speed, this will be the first game I'll download.  ;D

I was looking for it last night going through these 6 pages and couldn't find it because most of the links were dead. I searched again and I found it. Must have skipped it on my first search.

Though theres something wrong with the game because there is no sound what so ever. Is it suppose to have no sound? I even changed the settings on the file, but still no sound watsoever.  :(

The Book of Spells (Full length games)

Looking for this game. Thanks!

Wowzas! This looks very nice. I laugh at the character, hes funny looking.  ;D

So close to completion. How many MB will it be? I hope its under 30 since my IP always disconnects me after 4 hours of being connected and I have a regular modem.

Well I don't detest them, they aren't bad. I would say 5DAS is pretty sweet. We'll see how it stacks up as I play many other games. AToB was an ok game, but way to short and some mouse click response problems. I don't see it lasting in my top 5 as I play more games. MMD was alright, but that won't last long on on my list as well.

Also I kinda made this topic for the sole reason of seeing which games people like in hopes of checking out a certain game which perhaps hasn't scored great. I'm still new to the Adventure point and click genre, so this should direct me (and the new users) to games I have yet to download.  ;D

I'd like to know what everyone's favorite top 5 AGS made games are. Here are mine:

1. 5 Days a Stranger
2. Maniac Mansion Deluxe
3. A Tale of Betrayal

I only listed 3 since I have only beaten those 3 and I'm still a new user here. Later on I will update my top 5 list as I play and complete the games I've been downloading.  ;D

Ah, thank you for the welcoming me and  helping me find those 2 games. Next time if I need to find an old game I'll post in the GAMESEEK topic.  ;D.

Alright first off I'd like to say I'm new here to these forums. I accidentally found this site when looking for a Maniac Mansion (the first adventure game I played and beat with a bit of cheating heh) download in prepare for the arrival of an Ebay bid my brother won for me (Grim Fandango). So when I found the MM Deluxe version from a certain site, it also had other free Adventure Point & Click games. I ended up downloading the next AGS game by the name of "5 Days A Stranger". I thought wow this is a very nice game.

So I went to the creator's site which in turn lead me to this site and in the mean time playing 5 Days A Stranger, I grew (in a few days) my love for the Adventure Point & Click games. I still haven't beaten 5 Days A Stranger (I'm on the 4th day), but what I have played so far is fantastic. Becuase of this I have check out several other games from here (donwload of course). Games like Spooks, Knightsquire, Trilby's series, etc.

All I got to say is that this AGS program and the people who create theses games are simply awesome. Thank you all for making these games. I look forward to many more.  ;D I'm not much for PC gaming, but now I found a genre that I now simply love and soon I will get to play one of the so called greatest Advenute games created (Grim Fandango).

Now with that out of the way, I've been downloading several of these games in the past few days with my modem connection (shame I can't get the bigger files since I use People PC which disconnects me automaticlly every 4 hours) like crazy. Since I'm a cat lover, I came accross this game in this site called "[RotN] Gatitos: The Paws of Fate".

I ended up checking it out for a few minutes (like I do with most of my downloads) and supposively theres 2 other games in the series but I can't find them here. I was wondering where to find them if anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it. Here is the description:

[RotN] Gatitos: The Paws of Fate (by Creed Malay & Denzil Quixode)

This is the first chapter of the third game in the "Melt & Drake" series (after     Cabbages & Kings and Kittens & Cacti). Also known as "Apocalypse Meow", this first chapter sees Drake in a RotN overrun by kittens (it probably won't make a lot of sense unless you've played Kittens & Cacti to completion... and maybe not even then :) Pretty puzzle-light.

Once again thanks to this site I have fallen in love with Adventure Point & Click games. And thanks to the community who make these games. Now if you don't mind, I'm off to search and download some more of these games since I have about a few days till I cancel my interent connection since I can't afford it at the moment. I hope they give me another free month like they have for the past 2 months. Heh :P
