This image is still in progress. There should be story related stuff in the  background to fill up some of the black.

Basic Rules:

*Ã,  A sprite is supplied, with a theme.

*Ã,  Participants must use the given sprite for their animation.

*Ã,  Each competition will last 11 days.

*Ã,  The starter of each competition will decide on the winner.

The winner, who will decide on the next competition's theme, must also supply a sprite.

Ok, so this is what I came up with.
For the next 11 day we will be humilating the worlds most fearsome super villan known as Purple Tentacle. This is what I want you to do:
Make him dance in a humiliating way.

Rules:
Animation should be within 320X200 pixels.
256 colours (in case you want to add something to the sprite, like a hat or sunglasses etc.)

Can't think of anything else.

This theme of the week is:
Super Heroes.

Rules:
The powers of the super hero has got to be shown in action.
The super hero have to be your own creation (no Wolverines or Spidermen).
It could be either male, female or both (Maybe animal?).
pixel limit is maximum 60X80 and at 8bit colour rate.

I argree with Snarky. the glasses where really cool on him. It gave him personality and a original look. I also liked the jacket the way it used look.

Ok, I think it's a cool background and good looking characters (exept from the red outline on the maincharacters face).
there's one thing bugging me in the background however. The door is out of perspective. the right side of the door also seems (is) to be the same height as the main character (doors are normaly bigger than a person). Otherwise, like I said, it's really cool.

In my opinion DOTT seem to always bring out the ugliness in people. Big ugly noses, Huge ears, fat and other stuff.

Here's my divorce march... Well acually it's just a twisted version of the bridal march. my first plan was to do the Bridal march backwards but I found this more intressting  8)

Here's my try at it:

This was really difficult for me (not used draw underwater scenes).
I know it was supposed to be a sunken ship and not a little crappy boat. Hope it's ok anyway.

BTW, I really love the EGA picture! Next competition should be a EGA competition. :=

In the side view the top pixels of the nose are in line with the top pixels of the eyes... But in the front view the nose top is a pixel below the top of the eyes. I don't if changing that would make it look better though.

BTW. it looks awsome as it is

calacver: If you meant like Erwin Br. suggested about "real" monkey walk then I'm sorry to say that I'm not aiming for that since Crispy is a smart pet and not a wild monkey so that's why he walks on two legs. If you meant like swinging in trees like Tarzan or monkeys in trees, I'm sorry to say that won't appear in the game (but maybe in a possibly sequel).

I didn't have much time so I threw this together very quickly:

How about something like this? I don't really know how a real monkey moves like but this way seem a litle more natural to me atleast. I know the tail is a bit stiff and should probably move more but I didn't have the time.

I like how dg changed the movment looks more natural now... the only thing now is that it moves like a person inside a monkey suit instead of a real monkey ;D

I love the black eyes! Reminds me of sam&max. Cartoon animals shouldn't have any white in there eyes ;).
