If I were to copy Andail, it might look something like this.

But I won't use it, because it screams "I'm just trying to look cool. Here are some *favourite paint program* filters."

Unlike Andail's avatar, which is genuinely cool.

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that it'd take a group of adventure game fans to defend clichés.

Funniest game I've played in a long time!

NEVER SURRENDER!

I think we can. Fortunately it was also a very good entry, so I don't feel bad about just handing it over to the only participant. Congratulations, Geoffkhan!

Three lazy ones!
Original comments and photos by Grundislav and CJ. I think.

Spot the Brit.

The tower of terror!

Don't make any sudden moves.

With Christmas being just around the corner (if we're to trust the advertisements), I have a simple idea for this tune contest:

Songs for fictional holidays

What do the people on Planet Uzzbk sing and dance to when they celebrate The Birth Of The Giant Leprechaun In The Sky? What do you think the traditional Atlantean holiday jingles sounded like? Do scientologists sing carols as well?

The possibilities are endless!

No restrictions.

Big things in water creep me out, be they manmade, living things or just big rocks.

I hate this game so: http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=5004

I happened to me too. Once. Somehow.

This is quality work anyway. Ran a lot smoother than I had thought it would. Nice job.

Most Finnish universities start on September 1st, I think. Atleast that's when I start this year. I'll do my best to attend Mittens 2006, and anytime in June, July or August would probably be ok for me, but not September.

Quote from: Floskfinger on Thu 18/08/2005 22:16:57my first plan was to do the Bridal march backwards

You and everybody else no doubt, me included!

And then I too changed my mind and made something that resembles, without being completely similar. http://www.achtungfranz.com/ghor_divorce.ogg

Edit:
As an added bonus: the actual wedding march... backwards... in C64 SID format... and WAY TOO FAST!! http://www.achtungfranz.com/DIVORCEATRON-2000.ogg

There's so little information about what the gameplay is going to be like so far, but I'm keeping my eye out for it. If it ends up anything like what vague descriptions they've given so far, I'll want it for sure.

I like. Only criticism I have is that if you want it to be "ear friendly", I'd soften the snare a bit. It's unnecessarily loud and piercing on my headphones atleast.

Curse you eric! I'll have you worshipping my opinion yet!

The spooky bits just seem tacked on. I know I have to fight soldiers in standard FPS style, these "scary things" aren't going to hurt me! If the game was ALL about paranormal things, then maybe it would be nice, yes. But as it is now, it just feels like a standard "shoot everything" game with some bad Japanese horror movie clichés thrown in.

Can I have some scary games where you don't use any weapons, please?

Far Cry was released exclusively on DVD in Europe and exclusively on 5 CDs in America. Apparently some guy looked at some statistics and thought this was a good idea.

For people who like to play fullscreen, but find their monitors unable to handle 320x200, choose 'Force alternate letterbox resolution' in the setup and it will probably help. Atleast it does on my monitor. Because of the AGI plugin, this game cannot be run in anything other than 320x200 or 320x240.

Mindnumbingly boring, slow, ugly and generic!
#137
Also merely a "how do I use this thing?" tune, using... surprise! Church organs!

I am glad to see that Anna was one of the games with the highest score, but I'm equally sad that the game it tied with (Alone in the Night) was the most generic and self-referential of the bunch (no offense, I see that effort went into this game, and the character animation is awesome, but it's also exactly the kind of point and click game I'm getting so tired of).

I see the OROW competitions not only as an opportunity to make games, but as an opportunity to turn wild and crazy ideas into games, ideas you might not be able to fully work into a complete, ambitious big game. Games that have a little something in them gameplay-wise you might not see in other AGS games. The "One Room" criterion makes OROW an ideal testing ground for new features, because nobody is going to complain if your game is too short! "Generic AGS Game - Lite Version" is the last thing I want to see.

If you think I'm asking for too much, then you're probably right. After all, I don't really like adventure games as we know them.

Meanwhile, morally righteous think-of-the-children man Jack Thompson thinks Sims 2 should be banned too, because you can edit the game to remove the pixellated blur that appears whenever a sim gets naked. Oh no! Barbie genitals! ON CHILDREN! BAN!

As I'm only 16, i find it hard to imagine being old, and currently, i long to be older, I wonder when this stops? When do you really start to want to stay the same age?

For me, that age was 8 or 9. Man, I'd play with LEGOs all day!
Either that or my current age (which is 21). And I'd still like to play with LEGOs all day.
