I present to you: THIS

I like the cheat code.

Dear DG,

Have you ever done this? Should I ever do it? Do you know anyone who has done it? Does this count as one or four questions?

Hehe, really nice.

It's spooky enough for a Monkey Island-ish game (which the tune also reminds me a lot of, for some reason).

I'm going to do like mods and submit a tune I made some time ago for another purpose (it's an "unreleased" tune anyway, so I don't really consider it cheating :P). I sort of tried to make it sound as realistic as possible when I made it, but there are quite a few things I'd like to go back and change when I listen to it today. Too bad I don't have the original .IT file anymore.

~2.3mb

I think that IS a very dark shade of green actually, but I agree that it could be a little lighter. Otherwise really good work. I especially like the water.

Start flipping out, people! I'll keep churning out crappy photoshops until more people start posting!!

I loved the storytelling in Thief 1 and 2. The cutscenes and sound effects were top notch. I bow to Looking Glass.

I also love how on the list of features in the new Max Payne game, story is the first item on the list.

I also loved the first Hitman game, but I'm not so sure about the second one. In fact, I thought the story ruined it in the sequel. When I played the first game, I saw the Hitman as a cold-blooded assassin who took jobs for the money, and didn't think much about why he did them. The second one had a little too much "let's get rid of world-wide evil and terrorism" stuff for me. I don't want to save the world as ol' Tobias Rieper. Give me old cheezy platformers for that, heh.

...which is by Tchaikovsky, and most likely the tune you're looking for.

I'd really really like to play a FPA, BUT only if it was real-time a la every first-person shooter out there. I can't stand they Myst style "this is what you see, you can't turn your head, and when you move forward, you close your eyes while you're walking so that your life becomes a series of still pictures."

Bring on the FPS/adventure game fusions.

I'd ally with eric and declare war on rodekill. Either you're with us, or you're a zombie!

It's a mathematical puzzle. You need to figure out four consecutive numbers, which when added together equal six fives (six times five).

I believe this one is known as the Math Puzzle of Doom. :)

QuoteJust a short note saying I started college recently and I haven't got internet access sorted in my room yet, so for all those of you who've missed me on IRC or the forums - I ain't dead! I should be back fulltime ASAP...

The same goes for me, btw. I just thought I'd take over this thread instead of starting a new one. Mwahaha.

This means of course that Achtung Franz is temporarily put on hold.

...

Whoa, did I just see somebody that cared? Nah, must be imagining things again!

If that thing had realistic physics it'd be the coolest thing ever.

OH NO

A short and strangeCommodore 64 tune, which can best be described as a fast paced tune containing elements of classical music, power metal and chromatic weirdness.

Non-sid version coming up later tonight for the Sidplayer impaired people.

Edit:
By "later tonight", I apparently mean a few minutes later.

It depends. I like some rules, and I dislike some rules, be they technical or not.

But I have to say I'm more fond of rules such as this one and the one Archangel had about making a love theme, for instance. I'd love to see the contests being more geared towards making background music for situations in a potential game, rather than obeying technical restrictions.

Btw, I'm so making a song for this at the moment.
