Hints & Tips / Re:Aaron's epic adventure

Hm you mean in AGS?
Hard to tell, actually - Aron wouldn't be unique if there were more like it, no?
Mom's Quest has a somewhat similar weird atmosphere... Mourir En Mer is very good, but more serious than Aron... Tulles World III graphics is in my opinion similar (no watercolors, though)... Hehe, I don't really know.

As dissapointing as it is, you've reached the correct ending (the one with lotsa sheep ;) )
If I remember correctly, Superhoughton made this game for a friend's birthday and therefore rushed a bit.
Then came back, said he will make some more, and we haven't seen him since then.
This is one of the most moving stories in AGS history. And Aron is one of the best AGS games.

Quote28th July to Friday 1st August 2003

Bleh, I just noticed it... just 5 days, and the first and the last one are for travel... that leaves us with what, 3 days? A bit short for not so cheap journey... This leaves me a little bit in doubt... I don't even know if it's possible considering the bus depature dates.

Crickets and wolves go
Together like oranges
With wellingtons, pal.

Hm yeah, Nostradamus is right, it feels a bit awkward, but I'm not saying that it would be better without the sky walls.
I think that usually in Iso games sky is all around the ground area, ground seems to hover in open sky, and walls are only when - well - there are real walls, like forest or a castle, or inside.
It doesn't mean that Sylpher should copy this, of course.

Haha, neat!
The idea of the counter is very good, rarely does an adventure game give so much tension for the player. The game's very funny and clever, and I liked the puzzles (esp. the final one, with three buttons!)
Nice use of objects in the "outro".
The character's graphics could be better (I know they are RPG custom characters), but it didn't spoil my fun with the game at all.

QuoteAnd notice there's not one dick to be found in this game! Neither are any lesbians or cuss words! HOW'S THAT FOR AVANT GARDE?

TRYING TO PICK ON ME, GREEK BOY???

Hey, I enjoyed it a lot, although it was waaay to short   :'(
The graphics are cute, the music veeery nice and melancholic - and above all, the game has a unique atmosphere, similar to Moomin books by Tove Janson (esp. the main character, who looked a lot like Toft).
I had some trouble because you forgot to write in the readme that you need to press TAB to open inventory.
I loved your dialogue GUI. The puzzles could be harder, but maybe the game is intended for kids?
Overall, congratulations, and I would be overjoyed if this game was 50 hours long! Thumbs up!

Let's re-enact the Lord of the Flies. We should get enough litlluns.
I wanna be Jack! Las will be Piggy.

Scottish hero, we hardly know you, you've been here for what, a month?
Andail is very well known, also in person, by many members of this board. I think your attempt was overzealous.

Yes, 2ma2, I have noticed this terryfying resemblance. I think it's a masterstroke on the part of Juncmodule, to put me in shoes of a person who gives Junc to people and is generally a hero, maybe because I'm a hero.
As for the game itself:
- soundtrack - sweat, great, etc!!! although there was one small melody when walking the streets that seemed strangely misplaced, as if Hal 2000 started to sing "Home, Sweet Home"
- graphics and wandering NPCs - veery good, veery good, but it would be even better when following (spying on) a NPC added something to the plot;
- yeah, puzzles were too easy, and where they weren't easy it was only for some weakness of the GUI. I don't like it how you explicitly tell the player what to do next, and also I think that it would be more fun if you refrained from taking the control from the player so often (the bar scene, the levitator scene). Generally it's more fun to do such things yourself than to have the game do it for you. Also the WIRE puzzle - yeah, a bit misplaced, because suddenly you broke the realistic style of the game and added a slightly absurd element to the corp's HQ; not to mention the death scene, which was too funny for the game, IMO.
- some unhandled event interactions would make the game better as well.
Keep in mind that I'm so picky because you delivered a polished, quality product (thanks!!!) and in such cases I can only think what could be done in order to make it even better. Great job, generally, you worked with atmosphere still unique to amateur games!

Very quality, very good sound-fx, very nice graphics! If only Eric was motivated by some sharp object in his chair to make long games, the world would be a happier place. Welcome to the arthouse corner, Erico, have a beret.
I enjoyed this game a lot. You have "quality" written on your forehead, brother.

This product reminds me very much of a movie I will never stop pimping. Never.
NINE LIVES OF TOMAS KATZ.

Ah haha ha! I didn't know I can cook, but it seems that I can!! You Kyriakos know more things about me than my mother knows about toxical waste! I send love and thanks for including me in this work of Zany Mastery!!

The game crashed after the intro!
It crashed when I gave a bird unprepared to a certain man!
It crashed when I casted "Stinking Cloud" at 1001 Wandering Jews who guarded the Sword of Tempting!
It gave me 4 parridges at some point!
It crashed when president Bush started to emerge his head from between the buffalo's buttocks!
(warning: true sentences mixed with false ones to prevent spoiling game for people who haven't played this)
but - -

I LOVE IT!!!
AND IT'S IMPURE LOVE!
HOW CAN YOU LOVE SOMETHING THAT TELLS YOUR WEENIE TO EMIT URINE! IT'S SICK I TELL YOU!!
only I'm sorry this is the last RR... please tell me you're going to make another one...

angry was Gold's day
he yearned to kick Kikme's dick
when he found this thread

sublime and serene
filled his mind at this moment:
just some forgiveness

remembered the times
when as Fat Lolo fought with
Even, now good friend

good thread it was, zany
but flew away through past's gate -
destiny of all

where are the good games
AGS-made, long ago,
they gave you much joy

now only the words
on LGM's list he made -
this their asylum

now this is the same
with men who end on some lists
of dear deceased

no! memory still
the feelings they gave to you -
does this justify?

cheesy my words are
but I feel good writing them
thank you, bless this thread

and I want to say
that Yak Spit, though foul his name
I hold dear inside

AH AH KYRIAKOS THE BUTCHER DOES IT AGAINE!
FORTE, brother, FORTE!
Tour de force if I ever saw any!
Just saw the intro - had no energy to play the game because got food poisoning yesterday - and I love it! Not only because I star in it more than anyone else!
I even became stuck, but only for a while.

Um... uh... em...
I FOUND A BUG!!!111!
WHEN I QUICKLY GO TO THE BEACH AT THE BEGINNING AND QUICKLY SWIM LEFT I STILL SEE THE SHIP LEAVING AND WHEN I FOLLOW IT TO ANOTHER SCREEN IT'S DISAPPEARED! WHAT A BUGGY GAME!

hehe, great job! I only played it for some hours, and although it's somewhat conservative, I really enjoyed it. Unbeatable on technical level. Are you sure that you're Tierra, not Sierra?

AGS Games in Production / Re:Goldlagoon

Goldlagoon?
You get Goldmund's seal of approval.
The last screenshot reminds me of Boss' office in Zak. We always get lousy bosses in adventure games. Designers trying to tell something?
