And Tuomos...I still don't get what you were saying... jean jacket and jeans with little holes in it? Isn't that what everybody are always talking about and stuff, like "teens are always wearing jeans with holes in it and it looks so bad" and stuff. The basic teen stereotype...
But, er, yes, this is the other character. This is supposed to be Kyle, Hailey's ex-boyfriend...

(The legs are like that too, because I used the same picture as Hailey to draw Kyle, I just draw over them.)

Um-question, should I post a new thread for a new character I just made, or just post it here?

I use Paint too, and some people don't know how to draw on Paint, but that's probably because they're used to other programs. If I used a different program, I would have no clue what to do, and it would be really bad art.

The other one is in the pocket, but I don't know how to make it look like it is.

The right hand is there, I just didn't know how to draw it right, and it's a really light color.
I know one foot is lower than the other, but she's supposed to be kind of facing the other way.
All the teenagers I see look this way... but I do live in the country, so... xD

I don't know. I just tried to edit my games that I had just made, and it said that. I only downloaded AGS like a month ago.
I got the Monkey Island GUI, but it worked fine when I edited a game with it, but now it seems like I can't even make a new game with it.

UPDATE: To be specific, this is what the error message says: "ERROR: Invalid editor data file. Error loading game: This game was created with a newer version of AGS. You will need to update to the latest of the AGS Editor to open this game. If you already have the latest version, it is possible this game was created with a beta version, so check out the tech forum for updates."

The room is very large, and I don't why I drew it like that, because I already had a smaller sketch of it and I also had another sprite already that was much smaller.
Which is why there seems to be a very large problem here.
I was thinking I could make only this room large, and shrink everything else. But that doesn't sound logical, so I was thinking I could just make everything small like this in only one room, where I have to have the smaller sprite I had already made, which is why I made this small version of Hailey.
But I still have no clue what to do, because it'd be really hard to draw a bigger version of Hailey. Is there a way I can shrink it (the BG)? Or somebody shrink it for me? If I shrink it on Paint, it gets all squished and distorted.

This is supposed to be a teenage girl, Hailey (I'm not sure about the exact age, but anyway). I would like opinions on this, and which one of the two pictures is better?

Yeah, I know. I converted it to JPEG, but then converted it to PNG when I saw the distortion. I re-drew some of the stuff that looked horrible because of that (why in the world does it do that anyway?) this time.
Is there a way to fix this and restore it to the way it was?
Is anything else noticeable that's distorted?

Yeah, but now Kyle has to tie his shoes 4 times... xD
Oh well. I don't like Kyle anyway, lol.

I was working on a game in AGS (and I'm pretty sure it's the latest version) and I saved it. Well, today I tried to edit it again, and it said "Error-this game was made for a later version of AGS. Please update to the latest version." But it couldn't possibly be, because I'm the one who made it, and it worked fine before. It doesn't seem like any of the testing games I made work, either.

The completed room! (And no, unless it's something other than perspective, I'm not changing it. I think Helm is right.)

I added a LOTR poster with a picture of Sam on it-do you think it looks like him?
Also, I think I may have got the shoes wrong. I haven't been using real shoe laces for a long time... is that how shoes look?
And, here's another pretty bad excuse for the perspective, but maybe one of the bed's legs fell off and it's all crooked now. It could happen... it happened to my brother! Heh
UPDATE: OK, so I put the new completed picture up. Should I have the line there or not? The one by the edge of the bed, closest to you?

I'm sorry, but comedy is more important to art. In this game, atleast.
Besides, it's only one room, anyway. And I really don't see the difference... maybe people who know nothing about perspective like me won't notice it.
It's super annoying when the bed starts popping out like a ledge in my mind, though. But oh well, it's only one room, and you'd only spend a few minutes in it.
It would be better if somebody else drew the backgrounds, but nobody seems willing to do that, so I'll keep it the way it is.
Even if I did get somebody to draw it, I'd tell them to make the perspective deliberately wrong, like some Salvador Dali picture or something, just to put that joke in. Even if it did feel like the bed was poking your eyeballs.
In my opinion, it's better that the game is funny.
I guess it all depends on your point of view.

Once I tried to make somebody make something for me in a different game, but everybody was too busy making their own stuff. And, as I've learned, it's the same here.
Might I also point out that I couldn't make sprites. But I tried, and atleast they're not as bad as I thought. And, even after making my own sprites, nobody would help me. My advice to you is just read the tutorial (you MUST read the tutorial on AGS) and just try it-that's what I'm doing. It might not be the best game, but I don't think there's any other way to do it.
Now, if you still want help, I'll help you with the game. I can do sounds, music, art, and dialogue. The only thing is is that I said I CAN do them, but I didn't say I was good at them.
I have a keyboard for music, a keyboard for dialogue, Paint for art, and Acoustica for sounds. And, I could make the whole game with AGS, but I don't know any language but a tiny bit of CAOS, which is of no use when making a game. So, in other words, if you want me to help you, keep in mind that I'd probably do no better than you. Probably better than me. But if you still just want to make the game, but not do the hard stuff, then I really will help you, no joke. I need the practice, anyway. But, somehow I doubt you will, because it'd be a pretty bad game in my opinion, if it got finished at all...
But if you DO want me to do it, then just tell me, I will, but I'm trying to make my own game at the moment, and so again, I'll probably not have enough time to work completely on yours.
