Great job playing, both of you!

And you're applauding? Or are you being facetious?

In the Swiss there are spoken four official languages. Rather than learning English they would be more likely to learn another language from their own country to understand their own landsmen rather than peoples from other nations.

That why you wouldn't find many of them in English spoken internet.

Sure, there are multiple languages spoken in Switzerland depending on which region you live in, but a lot of Swiss people pride themselves in speaking English--very good English, in fact.

Unfortunately, the Swiss have been like this for a long time; during WW II they secretly collaborated with the Nazis to get rid of the Jews while officially pretending to stay neutral.

What?? Where did you get that idea? Hitler was planning on invading Switzerland, I don't see how they would have any sort of alliance.

I'm half Swiss, by the way.

The outlined one is really difficult to read... maybe that's just the dark text color though.

Hmmmm... while I might not be able to give you any pointers on things to look for in a monitor, I will say I use a Viewsonic VG2230wm (widescreen), and it's loverly.

The new version of Audition looks pretty cool from what I've seen. A friend of mine uses it at his home studio, and although the older version was behind in its capabilities, this new version gets it in the ballpark.

@Nikolas: Yeah, Sonar is awesome! I'm still getting around to customizing the interface to best suit myself. I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of its capabilities though. Yesterday I just started messing around with the Sonar ACT feature, which lets me intelligently map knobs on my MIDI controller to controls on VSTis and stuff. Very handy!

Most of the VSTis that come with it aren't that amazing. Mostly bundled light versions of stuff, but the included effects are REALLY nice.

I cast my vote in for Zazzle.  I created a few posters from them (and a Wadjet Eye cap!) and I've been very happy with both their service and their quality.

Glad I'm not alone. :)

Where can I now watch my documentaries?

Luckily there are some other places, still not so great, but at least something  :-\

There are some politically-oriented ones here. this might not be exactly what you are looking for, but who knows...

You might know of the excellent Robotragedy series of adventure games, created by my friend, Pijin Pastrana.

Well, he's working on a new, cool adventure game! I've played it a bit, and it's got a great Lucasarts style to it. But I'm in the middle of a semester and I won't have time to help test the game myself, so we're looking for some else who might be interested. Think Monkey Island/Indiana Jones. :)

This game looks f'ing sweet! :o

It looks so creative, and the art is so stylized, something missing from a lot of 3D games.

I have a lump in my right ear lobe.  It varies in size between days, so sometimes you have to feel hard under the skin to find it and has no feeling; other times it swells up and is painful to touch.  Had it a long time, I assume it's just from irritation like wearing headphones.  Of course if it worries you then tell someone.

It's a sebaceous cyst, which is an infection, like a pimple. Your best bet is to go see a dermatologist.

Or you could leave it alone, as long as it's not a big nuisance. Earlobe cysts go away (and come back sometimes) eventually.

I had a small one in my right earlobe for a while, but it went away after a while.

Sounds like it should be accompanying something...

Nice! With a little more practice this'll sound great! I would suggest writing lyrics, as this guitar part really sounds like it's backing up another instrument or voice.

General Discussion / Re: How much do you earn?

Although there is technically no law in the tax code which states you must pay federal income tax, it's a wise idea to pay it anyways. Many people have spent time in prison for not paying this tax. Unless you know what you're doing (like that lawyer who won the court case regarding not paying his federal income taxes), I would highly recommend against ignoring the tax.

That's possibly what happened to him...

Yeah, I think the banner up there is fine.

EDIT: Try making the "forever" text and its corresponding checkbox centered in their cells. Just curious if that'd look better.
