Hints & Tips / Re: The Bum

Spoiler
Yep, you need toolbox. To get rid of worker you need something very heavy. You also need a lot of money for the uberball. Note that gypsy in the window is a very rich man and that's his shrirt hanging above the alley. Newspaper has to be burned in the right place - look more closely at the barrel. And you're right about the biker, too. Bum asked him if he's afraid of spiders, right?

Mean Streets?

Quote from: Fitzwith online auctioning sites - eBay and the like. It looks quiet, like no one's interested in the item - until the last thirty minutes or so, and eventually the item reaches 10 times the suggested price.

Yeah, tell me about it :) eBay snipers can increase item's price by hundreds of dollars within last 3-4 seconds. I bid for Neverhood many times, with no luck.

Call me old fashioned geezer, but I actually like low-res graphics better than hi-res. And I think it's much easier to draw and animate with it. But I'm no expert :)

Some time ago I snatched Black Dahlia on UK eBay for 99 pences. (nod) First edition, big box. With that beautiful sticker "8 cd-roms extravaganza". (laugh)

Anyway, here's the next one:

I've played so many games in my life, experienced so many different gameplay styles that the one and only thing that keeps me playing nowadays is the story, characters development, emotional connection with them etc. I can stand terrible or broken gameplay mechanics if the writing is good. Or the gameplay type I simply don't like. Yesterday I finished The Last of Us on PS3 and I HATE stealth games, you know the ones where you have to stay hidden most of the time, creep around undetected, Splinter Cell or Hitman type. But boy, what a story, what immersion, moral choises, totally believable world. It was my first stealth-type game I ever finished, and it was AMAZING.

On the side note, the decision to implement that branching gameplay paths in FoA supposedly extended game production time by half a year.:)

Quote from: Arj0nWhooha, you've Loom boxed, original edition?

Yeah, it's the edition with this beautiful Book of Patterns and intro cassette (still in shrinkwrap!).

I'm currently looking for Universe by Core, full version with postcards. Seen it anywhere?

Me again. I was wondering, new comments have been added to The Bum game page since your update but no votes. Do you have to sort of "refrsh" votes from time to time to keep them updated?
