I finally finished the game. I got so freaking tired of Trevor so my choice at you know where was obvious.

General Discussion / Re: Thank You Ascovel.

Quote from: ParafiaI would like send a big Thank You to Ascovel for inviting us and giving us oportunity to show our game, as a part of his prelection that took place during Independent Game Developers Gathering in our country. It was exhilarating to watch and hear audience showing such positive reaction. It was also a great pleasure to personally meet You and witness your twisted visions coming to life in a form of Your new experimental projects. But of all the positive things for me a biggest pleasure was to hear You calling us Your friends. I really hope our paths will cross again some time soon.

I could Thank you by sending You a private message but i wanted everyone to know how cool a guy You are.

I could not put it better myself. Thanks a bunch, Ascovel!
And I hope your ambitious vision comes to fruition, the concept is fantastic. :)

I'm not aritst, just an average adventure gamer but I think your backgrounds look very good. On the other hand, I'm supposedly colorblind, so you never know.... :D

Guys, you can contact production team via their site, write email or something, and point out all those background mistakes to them. The game is still in development, maybe there still a chance to address those issues and save the game, so to speak. Maybe they'll listen to the fans.

My math teacher used to think so too when she was checking my homework :)

Quote from: qptain NemoYou hated Gray Matter?..

Yep. Something about this game was terribly off putting for me. I didn't like the dialogues, too. I just couldn't play this game. In the back of my head I always had the thought "you're just wasting your time" instead of "Gee, I wonder what happens next". I remember I waited for this game for years, following its slow production. And when I finally bought it and played it... It was a huge let down. I didn't finished it, maybe there something great later in the game but I just gave up.

Holy cow! That's great. I hope she won't change anything in the plot and just updates the graphics. I hated her last game...

Maybe post main title screen with some letters blackened out, like in a hangman :)

I don't have enough time to play online. I'm still playing single and I must say that I don't find the experience that much compelling (I played ALL Grand Theft Auto games, mind you). I loved the story of Nico in GTA IV, I loved how he dived deeper and deeper into the world of crime with each mission. His first missions were "protection" of a restaurant and extortion. In GTA San Andreas your first mission was to steal a bike. And in GTA V Franklin's first mission is to annihilate entire gang, with exploding cars and whatnot. He's some car collector working for the car dealer and yet he kills dozens of people without blinking an eye. It's terribly unbalanced and unrealistic. There's no real character development, all characters are just flat cliche criminals and one redneck psychopath - who gets boring after 1h and you're just tired of his constant shouting and screaming.

For me, the game lacks a McGuffin. Nothing really drives the story forward. You just do heist after heist. I don't know, I played sooo many games in my life that shooting and driving just "for fun" isn't enough for me anymore. I need an interesting story.

I didn't finish GTA IV because I found motorcycle missions to hard. I loved the game though. I cared for Nico. I wanted to know how his story ends. Did he find that Serbian guy he was after? Probably. What will happen with Franklin, Trevor and Michael? I just don't give a damn...

HINT: the game came with paper nautical map.

Quote from: GhostI'd also appreciate HD remakes of all the classic Indiana Jones games.

I think HD remakes of cults classics like Fate of Atlantis or Loom would sell great, especially on iPads and such which are just perfect devices for point & click adventure games.

I read an interesting article yesterday. It seems that there was a HD remake of DotT in the making and that it has been canceled because "the company's higher-ups had no interest in continuing to make what they called 'legacy' titles like this one".

Well, I didn't like Monkey Island HD remakes style that much but I bought them anyway cause I'm a hardcore fan of the franchise and I wanted to hear brilliant Dominic Armato delivering those classic lines. And we had DotT talkie version already. What do you guys think?

Here's the link.
