Thanks Cirius- such a kind comment. I can't wait to read the full review!

Those who preordered should have received the game by now- and everyone else can get it on the 1st of December!:)
I really appreciate your patience and while there have been delays, I hope you'll love The Cat Lady:)
On Saturday a proper thread will be made in Completed Games section.
An Urpney- after a few more chapters you will be scared to pass by your local newsagents, let alone cemetery....;)

I made my first game on AGS 2.7 and it was great for someone without any programming experience to learn the ropes and all that. When I started The Cat Lady I decided to try 3.2 and while much harder at first, it did open a whole new ocean of possibilities... After a day or two I totally fell in love with it. My favourite feature is being able to use the same script in dialgues- Ben has already mentioned that. It's invaluable. Now, you can have all sorts of stuff going on while characters talk. They don't have to just stand there anymore like they're stuck to the floor;) I know- it was probably always possible, but now it's just there and easy to use for someone like me!;)

Yay!!!  :)

I have to admit this game so far has been pretty damn good. Can't wait to see how it ends! (although living in UK I'll be one of the last to find out...)

It looks great!;) I like the art style a lot; and the swearing!;)

But why is there a human head on the his chest of drawers?;)
#345
Well, thanks for spoiling it for everybody!.... ;) But seriously, this makes sense. I've been wondering myself what it could be in that cube that's so life changing... And yeah. That'd be actually quite clever;)

Who edited this one?

That'd be mOds;)

Hello there;) I'm pretty sure you can pay in any currency you like when you buy things online?;)

Mods has prepared really great teaser trailer that'll advertise the game until release and he'll probably post it later tonight. The original trailer is nearly 5 minutes long... and that one will be out on Halloween or just before, only for people with good attention spam- which probably won't be the Gametrailers.com crowd;)

One thing I haven't mentioned here before is the addition of David Firth as one of voice actors. Anyone familiar with the Salad Fingers series? Well, those who are will recognize his voice instantly. It took some "pestering"... but he delivered some absolutely amazing VA for two characters and just the sound of his voice scares the shit out of me... ;)

It's the final run before Halloween... Just trying to wrap everything up and make sure there is nothing missing.

When I finished Resident Evil 2 way back in the day using only the combat knife as a weapon. Damn, that was hard :)

Damn, I thought I WAS the only person who ever achieved that!!!:)

Did you also manage to complete it in under 2 hours? ;)

Brain. Dead.

Most f***** up film ever, and it's made by Peter Jackson, too!!!:)

I actually quite enjoyed Prometheus... ;)

Well, if this is true, an orphanage in which children guided by their charismatic inspirational teacher make adventure games together, must be the most awesome orphanage in the world!

Very fascinating in a way- I read the whole thing and I'm amazed the lenghts some people would go to boost their ego. But why?... He sounded like such a nice chap!...

I agree that the actions taken by moderators were apropriate and the whole problem very well handled from the start. As I'm trying to establish myself as a commercial developer, same as AnasAbdin, I find it pretty ridiculous that someone would create a fake crowd of groupies to adore him just to create some buzz around his games... I know marketing often relies on lies, but this community has always been based on friendship and honesty and this was just silly, and terribly transparent- it wouldn't take Sherlock Holmes to see there was something wrong there... Clearly, he didn't believe in his own product enough himself, to employ such dirty tactics.

I doubt this will ever happen again. Can anyone be naive enough that this ruse can be repeated and actually work? Don't think so, personally.

Chihuahua- I'm pretty sure that's how you spell it;)

Also, you can't have all those robots in a game you're intending to charge people $9 for! George Lucas will send his personal robots after you and even your chihuahua won't be able to save you!:)

This game's getting really great feedback (especially what Shadow wrote- I thought it was very well put together) so I think I'll give it a try!:) Loving the artwork by the way!

Is it out in Europe yet?... Last time there was a bit of a gap between American and European release (at least for PS3), so I'm trying not to get my hopes up yet;)

So, is the game is almost finish, why not release a demo? Or do you plan to release it the same time as the complete game? Btw,  I fell in love with the game the instant I saw the 1st trailer.

Demo is coming. We're just waiting for few more voice acting lines for one of the characters, and as soon as they're in, we'll release the demo. The full game will follow few weeks later;)

There is nothing more I can say, and even if there is, it will probably be taken out of context and called pathetic, ignorant, laughable and false.

I honestly feel that I haven't deserved this kind of comments. I'm not even sure how to feel about this:

In a perfect world, Buzz Aldrin would live long enough to travel the world, punching everyone who thought he faked his historic accomplishment.  8-)

I guess I'll just say thanks and seeya elsewhere on the forum, hopefully in a nicer discussion. I won't post on this thread anymore, because clearly this is upsetting to everyone. I'd say me included, but I suppose I am not allowed to feel a victim here (because I'm the bad guy, and the only way to deal with ignorant fools like myself is to kick the shit out of them- and if that's the case, I'd say mission accomplished, prepare for landing...).

I think this isn't the first RIP thread that ends up this way... Perhaps the reason for it is that for most people here Neil, or any such person, is a hero, but for some, like me, he isn't. Not in a way that I don't respect his achievement, regardless of my beliefs ( NOT claims), but in a way that I personally didn't grow up wishing it was me going to the moon and playing out the moon landing with my lego characters when I was a kid. It was never something that fascinated me much. Why post an opinion then, I'm sure you'll ask? Because this is a forum and the general idea of it is that people from all cultures and different ways of life can express themselves freely. This isn't some kind of Neil Armstrong memorial forum, but adventure game forum. I'm sure none of his family will read what Grim said and weep. It just really doesn't matter what I believe and if I knew it would be met with such hostility, I'd do something else instead.

I did not call him a fraud, I did not attempt to rewrite history. I'm sure he was a lovely, lovely man, who had a long and accomplished life, and for that fact alone he has my respect. I'm pretty sure that if me and Neil met and I said "Man, you didn't really go to moon and back, did you?" he would just smile and talk to me like a friend. He wouldn't spit in my face and release the hellhounds on me.

But, sorry, that's how I felt here.

Sadly, it's not just you Grimm.

It's madness I tells ya, soon people will believe there were "concentration camps" in WW2 where they killed and tortured people.

Really?!?

Is there really a need to be so patronising about this?!?

Do NOT compare me to those who believe that. There is a line, you know. I DID admit my knowledge in that area is sparse and I'm actually willing to change my mind about that seeing how strong people feel about it and faced with the facts. But whether the moon landing happened or not, it doesn't bear the same meaning as Holocaust where millions of lives were lost, probably the worst crime inb the history of mankind. By putting me in the same bag as those Fascist sons of bitches who deny the existence of concentration camps for the purpose of cleaning their undeniable guilt you really do offend me.

I really didn't expect that.

It's not something I was buying into, because clearly, if I was, I'd know better how to fight my corner here and provide some strong arguments. I'm certainly not some kind of obsessed psycho spending nights trying to convince myself and others that the government is responsible for this and other conspiracies... In my defence I will just add that I didn't say "man did not land on the moon" but simply that I didn't believe that, so it wasn't really a claim?;)

But you are certainly right- I should know what I'm talking about before I say anything.

And fine. Faced with a quick research this situtation has encouraged me to make, and the facts mentioned by you, I will have to agree that it probably did happen. I'm open minded enough to admit I was wrong.

Why haven't there been more moon landings then if it's so simple? Shouldn't Richard Branson build himself a summer house there with a nice view on Earth?... I'm sure there are people who could afford it...
