I can't say I have any shocking evidence or extensive knowledge on this subject... I don't know. Just always thought that back then there just wasn't technology that would unable them to land AND go back to Earth...

Yeah, I'm gonna get slated now... I guess I should've done some research first. Go ahead and tell me I'm an idiot;) But don't call me a troll!!! :)

Don't really get it why it's being labeled "trolling" and "crackpot ignorance" to express my beliefs. Would Agent Mulder be also slated for what he wanted to believe in?....

What's so wrong with having an open mind about this and assuming there might be other possibilities? Everyone's death is a sad event and he will be missed of course... But guys, I didn't barge into his funeral screaming he's a fraud and handing evidence to the grieving family and friends. I just said: yeah, well, I'm not buying it personally, but there you go- I don't believe in Osama Bin Laden either...

I'm sorry he's passed away...

Probably not the best time to say I don't believe he had actually ever landed on the moon then?....

The devil made me do it.  THE DEVIL!

Who's that lovely lady with the cat? Looks kind of familiar. And the cat even more so.

So... YOU are the Cat Lady!!! ;)

I think it's brilliant!:) You got me at the "strip club filed with vampires". So it's a bit like From Dusk Till Dawn meets 50 Shades of Grey?... ;)

I'm back, I'm back!!! ;) Just working on the release trailer now- I always assume this kind of jobs will probably take a day or two, but as soon as I get started it becomes clear it'll take me much more than that... It's coming along nicely though;) Now it's is all about balancing how to show the best bits of the game without actually showing too much;)
I managed to get a really great song for the trailer- it's by an American band Tears Of Mars, who have been most kind to also let me use some of their music in game. Those guys rock!:) Check out their website:

In the meantime, as the voices are being recorded, I keep looking for more bugs... ;) I want to avoid the situation from 3 years ago and make sure there aren't any this time;) Avoiding Downfall's bugs was like a little game within the game itself! ;)

Playing it now. Finally!!! European PS3 owners have raged for days about the delay... Well, got some crisps and a can of Fosters and it's time to punch some zombies:)
#368
It's not on PS Network yet... Maybe it's the Europe 'thing'? Everything's late here...

For now, I'll avoid reading anything about it;)

Episode 2 now on xbox and on friday pc and ps3. It was about freaking time.

Well, I say!!! Thanks for the news Anian!!! I have been waiting for it for a long time!:) :)

Still have to wait till Friday... but since I work all weekend I won't play it until Sunday... But that's still awesome!!!:)

Just finished it! Great game! Pretty hard at some points, but I can say proudly I mostly solved all puzzles on my own:)

Really enjoyed it;) Thanks!

I played it a lot today and really enjoyed it. Very old school, reminds me of classic games like Ween: The Prophecy and Elvira. One problem- it's damn hard. I'm glad you removed deaths. Although I never played the original, nor even heard if it, I can't imagine how unfair it must feel to die when simply examining an object... ;)

The walkthroughs I found for the old version are not really helping me... I know, not in this thread, but it might be an idea for someone to write it. I got as far as the dungeons of the sect;) Loving it;) Maybe tonight I'll dream up a solution to the puzzle I'm stuck with?:)

As for what's next? I think I am done platform-wise (unless someone donates me a PS3).

I have a spare PS3! If you can make my game run on that I'll let you have it (and buy you 10 more PS3s!).

Just wanted to say that this module seems really interesting to me and I've been keeping an eye on this thread for a while now... Making interface is like a whole other world compared to scripting your in-game events, and I confess I do struggle with it. I often wished there was something like Interfacer... and now there is! I'm just patiently waiting for a final version to give it a go. But yeah, monkey, great idea and I totally support what you're doing! :)

Hey guys, the voice files started arriving and I've already put some in the game. We've found a brilliant actress for the role of Susan and I'm really happy with how things are beginning to take shape;)

I don't know the release date yet... I guess as soon as it's finished!;) Could be a month, could be two. Halloween would be cool, but it's really far away, isn't it?... ;) Anyway, translations are being discussed as well, and German and French are most likely to happen. As for pre-orders... Well, I'll let Mr mOds decide whether it's a good idea;)

I totally love the music in the trailer! :)

Your website is very nicely done! Unfortunately it's not in English and I can't understand much... but I noticed there's a picture of a rhino in the backgrounds section. Placeholder? (or is the game actually going to take place "on" a rhino?;)) haha Don't answer that. Yes, it is a massive job to take on a big game like this. We've said it many times before, if it's your first game maybe start with something smaller? Either way, your sprites look great and there is definitely lots of potential there! Good luck!

I put the pump in the fuel tank, thinking I'd get some fuel for the machine on the other side of the asteroid, but while I'm being told the pump is set, I can't get any fuel at all... I let the little dude out the cage and there's no one to talk there and nowhere else to go... Please help!:)

Don't praise me too much, I'm average at best!

Ah, but I really love this screenshot! Can't resist, I must praise;) I think this is my favourite background so far. Great composition, especially with that cross-shaped doorway in the middle. Well done!:)

Critics' Lounge / Re: Yoke's "art" thread

There's some nice detail and textures here, but the whole scene seriously needs better lighting and camera angle. At the moment, I am not quite sure what I'm exactly looking at, because it's so dark!... I noticed your Blitz entry was slightly lighter- did you change it just before posting here? Anyway, my advice to you would to be to first of all experiment with different sources of light. You could add blue light coming from outside the window/balcony in the middle of the image, casting a blue-y glow on some furniture nearest to it... And how about a lamp in the corner, with a red tinted bulb or shade? You need more contrast and- just thought about it- maybe something in the foreground? Some tables/chairs... This place looks like some kind of lounge, right? Grim Fandango-style restaurant tables wouldn't be such a bad idea, imo.

One more tip- render it bigger! You can always scale it back down in your paintshop/photoshop/whatever else you're using, but pixel-art made with rendering just isn't that attractive.
