This is not a wheelchair for two- it's a single wheelchair for fat people.... ::)

I'd say commercial can be justified if you go easy (or remove them) on the werewolves this time around :) But maybe that's just me- anything that has werewolves in it puts me off  for some reason....

  What I found interesting here, though, is that you consider going commercial without really thinking whether you can find a publisher that will be interested in selling a sequel to a game that isn't that popular outside this community, or any no-budget indie game really. Have you already got publishers willing to do that? I found this was the hardest bit- getting people interested enough to try it.

  Another option to consider: maybe McCarthy 1 can be added to the sequel, so all newcomers can play it first before they try chapter 2. That would save some confusion, surely, and "buy 2 for the price of 1" always looks good, too!

Ireland, yeah? I could do Ireland... I must consider it this year.

Don't let him come, he will kill you all and make a game out of it!!  :D

Ok then, let's go to Greece instead ( *sharpening his knives...*)  :)

Just to prove there are nice people on GT too, here's a nice one:

"THANK YOU for being innovative, THANK YOU for being artistic, THANK YOU for doing something different, THANK YOU for not being another god damn money making annual sequel that all the SHEEPS purchase. ...this makes me remember when games used to be about placing you in imaginative worlds and scenarios. if i wanted to spend all my time fighting fukn arabs i'd join the army, not purchase the same game every year. THNAK YOU for dong something with balls in an industry driven by sales. "

What can I say... Thank you too:)

So, as usual the trailer went onto Gametrailers portal, where only the trashiest of American teenage COD fans dare to enter :) Heh, not really maybe, but there seems to be a lot of people whose input consists of typing "WTF?" and " bulllshit, what dickhead made this game?!" It got 25.000 views and 360 comments in one day:) Assuming that 10% of all people who watched it have brains, I think it's gonna generate some buzz...:)

 Jesse Gunn, the musician who recorded the trailer song and several songs used in game too, has his favourite pick of the comments. It's :

"What exactly is the audience for this besides goth girls afraid of becoming the title of the game?"

 I suppose mine would have to be:

I would rather eat a soggy box of poisonous butt-holes than play this

So, I'm guessing this must be a good thing:) This is exactly what I expected from Gametrailers;)

EDIT: In case anyone wants to have a read of those little gems here's s a link:

I've kept quiet for a while... but only because I've been working my butt off making this game:)

It's not finished yet.... but I'm about halfway through. I'm very happy so far with the progress:)

So, if you'd like to have a look, here's a
  first trailer.

Also, updated first post, so you can find it there as well:)

PS. Big thanks to Dave Gilbert for help with voice acting!!!:)

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to record just two or three lines of dialogue for the upcoming Cat Lady trailer. It's got to be a woman, between 20 and 50, preferably with a really sad, melancholic voice, with a good quality mic.

Just realized this sounds like a personal ad in the man-seeking-woman section of a newspaper.....:)  But I assure you it's not:) I have no interest in romantic getaways, friendships or possibly more, and such. I just need the 3 short audio files...

I know there aren't that many female AGSers (although now I know there are more than I used to think there were) so maybe someone's got a girlfriend or wife (or sister) who'd fulfill these criteria? If you do, that'll be a twenty minute job and a great help for me, as the trailer's nearly finished, just little touches like this are  now needed to make it great, instead of just good:)

  In return I offer my eternal gratitude ( and mention in the credits).

    Thanks:)

Chicky mentioned Somers Town earlier- I liked that film too:)

If I may add something from myself, I'd say Lost- even thought it's a series, not a film... it's still got production values of a good movie imo...:) I thought I'd mention it since I'd just watched the entire last season at one go and I'm very impressed....

 You don't want to spend 3 years making a game.  You want to spend a maximum of 6 months.

This is clearly a mistake I'm making... I'd listen to Dave on that . Just make sure you really push it and spend every waking second of your life doing stuff for your game. It will definitely pay off.

...and I started laughing too, but I'm not sure why....;)

I haven't laughed like this for a while:) Great game, although I really got stuck on the paintings puzzle for a while.... ( but I admit it's a really clever puzzle and I should've figured it out way sooner than I did).

  I really wanted OSD to be a straight guy... but in the end I still got a golden dick....

Also, fantastic voice acting!:)

Can't wait to see what's next for OceanSpirit Dennis:)

Ryan Timothy: I still get that bloody gap between sprites....

Calin: Damn it.... It works.... Thanks!

Hi,
I'm done trying to solve this on my own... That's 2 sleepless nights now...I need help, guys.

I'm trying to make a sky sprite move sideways, right to left. The idea was to have two screen-sized objects- one starting its loop at x=0, and one just before, at x=800. When the first one reaches x== -800, it's supposed to move directly to x == 800 and then continue moving left. And the same with sky object 2. Of course, the sprite is designed the way that it seamlessly blends into another one. But I end up with this empty gap between them after just the first loop....

Here's the sprite I'm using:

I started off with this code (oS1 = sky sprite 1m oS2 = sprite 2)  :

function room_AfterFadeIn()
{

oS1.Move(-800, 536, 3, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
oS2.Move(-800, 536, 3, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);

}

function room_RepExec()
{

    if (oS1.X == -800){

oS1.X=800;
oS1.Move(-800, 536, 3, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
    }

if (oS2.X == -800){

  oS2.X=800;
    oS2.Move(-800, 536, 3, eNoBlock, eAnywhere);
 }

}

Please, have you any idea what I'm doing wrong? Is moving objects directly to the other side of the screen causing some sort of delay that creates the gap? But if so, the gap should be growing with each loop, and it isn't.... Perhaps you've got a better idea how to do it?

Barry is back! Yay!!! Great news and good luck with part 2!!:)

Thanks for an idea Coligostro, but I think I'm gonna let it go- if the bigger guys can't manage to prevent the problem I don't believe I could. Piracy has always been a problem and... I guess this is something developers have to accept.

But- on the bright side- here's Downfall again, out on Impulse this time!

          Check it out: H E R E

Thanks Mr. Spanos! And I thought you binned it as soon as you got it... :) I'm really glad you enjoyed it and what a nice review too! :) It's not a game I'd feel particularly proud of... but for me it has a sentimental meaning. It's good to see that other people can understand it in their own different ways and have fun with such a mad cast of characters ( which includes even Stephen King as an NPC) :)
#620
Yeah, line 381 says just that. I haven't altered any of it.

But I think this isn't much of a problem- I'm happy just using setting for 3, 4 and 5. :)

I must also say I really love this module and it really adds a lot to the look of my project already!:) So, thanks!
