Yep, we got ripped apart this time around.  I have no power and tons of trees have been downed. (I'm typing this from my grandmother's house, who is fortunate enough to have power.) 

On the bright side, I don't have to go to work today! Or possibly tomorrow.  But on the sucky side, it looks like we're going to be without power until at least Saturday afternoon.

Bummer.

Or perhaps in the back of the head.  Yes, the back of the head.  Scotch can do it.

As long as it's early June or late August, it won't be during peak season.  I believe the cutoff dates are the 15th of June and August.

At any rate, should we really be discussing this so soon?  I know it's good to plan early, but at least give it a few months before serious discussions open up.

The game is a little closer to being done, about 3/5 of the way.Ã,  As you know, I've been away at Mittens the past week, so nothing new has really been done.Ã,  Hopefully now I can get back into the swing of things and chug along.

What is there to say that hasn't been said already?  I had an amazing time at Mittens this year.  There were so many great things that happened, and it was great seeing everyone from last year and meeting the new people.

I am pretty jet-lagged and also on dialup, so I will have to sort my photos and stuff this weekend.  Watch this space, though!

Currently in Heathrow airport, awaiting to board my flight at 9:35am.  Survived my late-night expedition into London, but am incredibly dirty, smelly, tired, and NOT looking forward to an 8-hour flight.

You mean "bathing suit"?  Swimming trunks? I will be bringing swimming trunks, as in the shorts, 'cause I don't own a speedo.  I'm one of those uptight North Americans who ain't wearing a banana hammock.

Anyhoo, I am also packing lightly, and I second Farlander's suggestion to just bring a few changes of clothes.  We're all gonna be half naked all day anyway. 

Personally, I like "Gives Outdated Manure"...because that's exactly what it does!!

I'm just surprised that Chris Jones opened himself up to certain Essebs being able to knock on his door.

It gave me a great reason to freak out my friends and family by saying "Oh yeah, I'm going away for a week by myself to meet some guys from the internet and camp with them."

And it was a great diversion from class in the college days.

Don't worry, Goldmund. If you get flight fright, just remember that Grundislav has to fly for 14 hours to get there.

In other words, I'll be drugged up too!

It's been pulled from the shelves in "family-friendly" stores, like Wal-Mart and Target. Ã, The reasoning is because they don't sell games rated Adults Only.

It's kind of funny, really, especially in the case of Wal-Mart, which wouldn't sell Jon Stewart's recent book because it had a photoshopped picture of the Supreme Court Justices' heads on naked bodies. Ã, Oh no, they can't sell books with photoshopped naked pictures, but they can sell ultra-violent videogames. Now that there's sex in it, it suddenyl becomes evil.

I don't know what to think at this point. The whole killing Dumbledore on his orders idea seems plausible, but I just don't know.Ã,  The one thing nobody seems to have mentioned that stuck out in particular for me that makes him more likely to be still on the side of good is that he didn't tell any of the Death Eaters about his private lessons with Harry in OotP. I guess them knowing that he had done that wouldn't be too good for Snape...but we'll see what happens!

The "official" rule is that the location of the next year's Mittens is decided at Mittens. It's kind of like Fight Club in that respect, except it's more like Sex Club.

Uh oh, I think I just broke rule #1...

I suppose this doesn't really count as an entry, but...
