I also recieved my copy of Fatman today.  See how I have already put it to good use?

I recommend this game highly, and I'm not just saying that because I did a voice.   ;D
Mike did a great job on this one!

General Discussion / Re:LeChucks "Plato" error
Thu 08/05/2003 05:31:01
This is totally off topic, but the whole Plato thing reminded me.  A couple of weeks ago I had this dream and at the very end right before I woke up, Timothy Leary appeared and said "Plato! Plato! Plato!"  When I woke up I was thoroughly confused.

General Discussion / Re:What are you reading?
Wed 07/05/2003 00:45:33
I just read "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeline L'Engle last week, but since mid-March I've also read "The Stranger" by Camus, "The Little Prince" by some French author I won't begin to try and name, and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."  Quite a variety there, wouldn't you say?

Granny Zombiekiller - Halloween 2003

Butcher...you sir, are a comic genius.  Your intro had me on the floor, and the game itself was funny too.  The ending was also very good, a nice "departure from the norm" if you will.

Great job! :D

The Rumpus Room / Re:Haiku maybe help?
Thu 09/01/2003 23:05:41
We are so cultured
To post only in haiku
It makes me so proud

Maybe someone should
make a game all in haiku
Wouldn't that be fun?

Well, no, I guess not
I don't know what I have smoked
Maybe some salmon

Ok, enough puns
I will really stop this now
Back to AGS!

Papagayo is a kite?  I always thought kite was "papalote"...of course I speak Cuban Spanish, which, like every other form of spanish, is different from the others.

Completed Game Announcements / Re:Hour Games
Fri 08/11/2002 06:38:44
We made hour games on November 7th, approximately 8:30pm EST, the rule was it had to feature a talking plant.  Here is my entry:

I had an AGS dream last night.  I was in England or somewhere else where they drive on the left side of the road, and I was waiting at a bus stop to be picked up by CJ and other AGSers.  So the car came by and I got in and CJ was driving, and Magintz was inside and I was like "wow, I finally get to meet you guys" and then we went to a McDonald's drive thru!  Weird, huh?

I agree, this game was great. Special congratulations should go to the voice actors...Uni and Mills, you guys did a great job. Some lines had me on the floor, especially the little disclaimer at the end.

There were great little tricks too, like the bees's buzzing getting louder as you approach the hive. It had a lot of atmosphere too, mostly because of the silliness of the music and voices.

Great job! :)

Thanks for the continuing positive feedback. :)

To answer your question, the intro movie was made with Flash, then exported as an AVI.

Hey, it's good to finally see some competition! :) I like the game, but unfortunately I'm stuck!

*SPOILERS*

I've opened a bunch of panels, given the book and photos to Bob and taken the digital picture of the screen, but I can't seem to give it to Bob. Now what do I do?

Quality increases with each release. Go Ghormak! :)

Well, it's been long enough, so I can post again.

I want to thank everyone who played the game and gave me such nice compliments. That's why I enjoy making games, so others can be entertained, and it seems as though this did it's job.

I also want to apologize to Chrille for mis-pronouncing your name. I'll do better next time, I promise. ;)

Finally, for all of you that can't see the movie, my apologies for using an apparently obscure codec. Here is the URL to download it.
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/mpeg4codec.html
I like this codec because of how well it compresses, and plan to use it for "Granny Zombiekiller" so download it please.

Anyway, thanks again to all who played, enjoyed, complimented, and critiqued.

Thanks for the compliments, especially yours Evenwolf, that really means a lot. :)

*SPOILER FOR 2MA2*

You can also type in "moose" and "bea arthur" for different results.

Ok, here's my MAGS entry for July, "Mittens Murder Mystery" starring Granny Zombiekiller.

http://www.agagames.com/grundislav/games/mags.zip

Make sure you read the readme before playing. Also, the intro cutscene is an AVI which should play in-game. Make sure you have the latest version of DIVX. If it doesn't work, you can always view it outside the game.

Here is the voice pack:
http://www.agagames.com/grundislav/games/magspeech.zip

The voice pack is *gasp!* 15MB, BUT here are the top 5 reasons you should download it!

5. Features quality voice acting by members of the AGS community, many playing themselves.

4.Contains as much dialog if not more than the HMPP talkie, and it's only half the size!

3.Many people worked hard doing these voices. It would be evil of you to let their hard work go to waste!

2.The game's a lot more atmospheric and fun with voices.

And the number one reason to download the voice pack...

1.IT FEATURES THE VOICE OF NONE OTHER THAN CHRIS JONES HIMSELF!

So, get to it! And remember to vote for me if you like the game!

Love,
Grundislav
