And if you don't mind me asking, then what's up with the character sprites in larger outside shots? Mixed resolution?

This is an AGS thing, a result of running the game with Direct3d, and I hate it. If you change it in the game setup to DirectDraw5, the sprites will scale normally, but it might not be compatible with your machine.

Bumping the thread to announce that a demo is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.  Try before you buy!

Booked my flight!

I'll be showing A Golden Wake as well as unveiling the next project I'm working on with Ben304. An AdventureX exclusive! AdventureX-clusive? I don't know.

Also racking my brain for a suitable topic to talk about.

Thanks, Mark. I'll be booking flights within the next few days!

Excited to attend my first AdventureX!

I'd also be interested in doing a talk/panel.

So...any news on the official announcement? Airfares are starting to go up.

It should be on the pre order page.  In any case, it's $14.99.

Just an update to say that the game is 100% complete!

Watch this space for preorder information, release date, launch trailer, and an exciting announcement, all coming very soon.

I always make a little prototype first to see the character and how they match the background.  Then focus on playable areas and add cutscenes and intros and whatnot later.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed them.

Trust me, I know what you're saying. Case 5 was me trying to do Gabriel Knight in Japan.  As a result, it was overambitious and unoriginal and I got tired of it halfway through development, which I think shows in the final game.

So as not to hijack this thread, I'll say my favorite AGS game ever is Richard Longhurst and the Box that Ate Time.

Least Favourite? Case 5: Land Of The Rising Dead. Why? Didnt seem to get into it, bit boring, un-inventive graphics, i dunno cant explain....

My feelings exactly!
