Sure.  I did it in 2007, Disco did it the year before.  It's certainly a strange feeling to go to an AGS meet and then go to another 2 weeks later.  Strange, yet fun.

I wouldn't miss it for the world.  Count me in!

Take a lot of showers.  I know it sounds odd, but I find that taking a nice hot shower is like opening the floodgates for ideas.  I get some of my best ones while showering.

It has, yes.

Grundislav Games presents:
Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator
in
Case 7 - The Cardinal Sins

The Story
It's Christmas Eve in Rome.  What should be a joyful occasion becomes a senseless tragedy as a priest is murdered in cold blood. Back home in Philadelphia, Ben Jordan receives a phone call from the man accused of the crime, begging him to go to Rome and clear his name.  Seeing this as a chance to prove his career choice to his disapproving family, Ben calls up his friends and starts another investigation.  However, Ben doesn't realize that this will be the toughest case he's ever had, as many questions will be answered, and some lives will be lost...

Release Date
August 12, 2008

The game will be fully voiced and also feature an optional designer commentary, just in case you feel like listening to me ramble about the BJ design process.

Update 7/16/08

With less than a month to go before the release date, I figured I'd put together another cheesy trailer for the game, viewable here.

Slight spoilers, so don't watch it if you don't want to know anything about the game before playing.

That looks really nice.  What dimensions were your original painting in?

These are all high school kids either trying to act like adults or going through the usual teenage angst.

Joyce is trying to look like an adult by dressing up and wearing way too much makeup, trying to impress her friends because she's insecure.

Gavin is self-centered, too caught up in his own world of dressing up for himself and not noticing anyone else.  He pretends to be an adult by shaving facial hair that's not there and drinking beer.  He's probably also insecure.

Susy has self-esteem issues.  She refuses to believe that she has any self-worth.  She hates social situations because she doesn't know how to behave, probably because she feels awkward and insecure.

So basically, all three of these kids are going through the natural awkward phase that's part of growing up.

I've written all of 4 chapters.  I think it's going to end up being a short story rather than a novel.

I think this might be the song you're looking for, Nacho.

No more guesses?  Well I guess it's time to give the answer.

Taking clue #1 which was "Spiders and scorpions hear," most people correctly guessed that spiders and scorpions are arachnids.  Following that logic, you need to find a synonym for "hear," which in this case was "listen."

This gives you the phrase "Arachnids Listen."

Now, you take the 2nd clue, "Banjo Nerd" which is an anagram of "Ben Jordan."

So rearranging the letters in Arachnids Listen gives you some possible titles.

If the game were to take place in France and be about bad escargot, it might be "The Rancid Snails."

Or it could be "The Cairn Islands," but that doesn't make any sense.

So that leaves us with the game's actual title:

The Cardinal Sins

He did guess it correctly.  The title he posted in this thread was a joke.  He sent me the correct answer via PM.
#875
Well, I was going to wait until December 24th, when I'll do the GiP thread, but if nobody else has managed to guess the title by next week I'll post it then, along with how to figure it out based on the clues.
#877
So, just for fun, I'll give the second clue and see if anyone can figure it out.

Clue #2 Banjo Nerd

Well, I wrote the first chapter.  I have no title and no idea how to flesh out the story, but I feel confident that it'll all come together somehow.

1,092 down, 48,908 to go!

You can, but I'd prefer it if you messaged me privately.

Apparently I'll be sitting through a tropical storm...
