Late June is also great for me.  Cast in my vote!

PS. It would be preferable if it could be before July 4th, as that day is not allowed off at my place of work.

Yeah, so come to Florida instead! We have guns, so it's more exciting than silly old knives!

My first abandoned game, Return to Carver Island.  It was a Monkey Island ripoff starring me and my adventures in school.  This one would have been high school.  It was high res and voice acted, and almost finished, except I couldn't come up with a decent final puzzle.

In hindsight, I really should never have released this series to the public, nor should I have spent such a ridiculous amount of time on this game, only to abandon it at the end.  But then, making them all gave me the experience I needed to make less sucky games.

If possible, we may be starting the Skypecast half an hour early, at 8pm GMT, for personal reasons involving myself...

Hey all,

I've set up a subscription feature on my website http://www.grundislavgames.com/benjordan/ so that if you want, you can subscribe and receive an e-mail when Case 6 is finished.

Dave has already received all the first-hand praise from me.Ã,  I'm officially a Gilbert Fanboy.Ã,

Great game, looking forward to the rest of the series!

Speaking of movies, there's a trailer for the game available in the first post.

Somebody should bring a camcorder and post the movie - THAT now, would be awesome to watch :)

One step ahead of you there, chief...

General Discussion / Re: Classic car drivers?

I really don't think a '97 Corolla qualifies as 'classic,' but I'll post a picture anyway just to show off my old, dirty, but completely reliable set of wheels.

And I think my little 'modification' makes it a classic in its own right:

I feel your pain (or lack of memory), Squinky. Ã, Sometimes I have to go back and play through earlier games to make sure I'm not omitting any details for sequels.

It's a common feeling to play through a game you made long ago and think, "Wow, I did that?"

Bumpetty bump. New screenshot in the first post in honor of Release Something.

Here's another screenshot from BJ6!

Guess I might as well add it to the GiP thread too.

Four feet, seven inches, but only because I hadn't in like 8 days.

Oh wait...

Heh, he doesn't row the dinghy from very far. You just can't see the big boat he came from in that screenshot.

It's really kinky to hear that sort of stuff... togheter with with how Grundislav lost his virginity. Hot stuff!Ã,  :=

Ha, I just posted that as a joke, since others before had done it too.Ã,  My sexual exploits are much more boring than some other posts in this thread, I can tell you!

Be sure to check out the official site, specifically, the online version of the Paranormal Investigator's Handbook for a few hints as to what you can expect.

As an early Christmas present, I present a terrible quality trailer for BJ6.  It shows some gameplay footage, mostly of Ben walking, but the song makes up for it!

Five years really is a long time.Ã,  Lots of stuff has happened to me as well, and what I remember most (in no particular order) is:

- Went to university, switched majors twice, and subsequently failed out my last semester, 4 1/2 years later.
- Made some crappy AGS games.
- Made a whole bunch of AGS Operas and a couple of AGS Shows.
- Fell foolishly in love with, and had my heart completely broken by a girl.
- Spent 2 years trying to get over said girl.
- Met some of my best friends in real life at university.
- Met some of my best friends online, and then met them in real life.
- Worked at a crappy retail store for 8 months, then got a better job.
- Travelled to Spain, Greece, the UK, Paris, Canada, New York, and several Caribbean islands.
- Realized I hated one of my friends after being roommates for 2 years.
- Turned 21, and became a borderline alcoholic.
- Lost my virginity.
- Went through 2 major hurricanes.
- Started a relatively successful series of AGS games.

I am also a vastly different person than I was in 2001.Ã,  But then, since most of us have spent the last 5 years in our late teens/early 20's, it's not a surprise that we've changed a lot.

I'll be back in school too next year, so after late August would be not so great for me.

I'd say we should probably seriously consider booking the place at the latest by February or March.  By that time most people should have a better idea if they'll be able to make it or not, since it's after the holidays when all those unexpected expenses tend to pop up.
