There is that secret pro version of AGS that I had to pay £50 for. It is all hush hush becuase it is still in beta.

Oh, so they picked you to beta test too?

The Beatles - Abbey Road. Greatest album of all time. Period.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way. One of the greatest albums to come out in years.

Dispatch - Bang Bang. It's not easy to get me to listen to bands that started post 80's, but Dispatch's Bang Bang has made its way into my collection.

I remembered you guys talking about Malwarebytes in a thread recently and I figured I'd give it a shot. I downloaded it, ran a full scan and it finds 21 infected objects.

Glad to be of help  ;D. Malwarebytes has saved me on a number of occasions. I also use AVG Free, which I happen to find great (although from what I understand, people aren't as satisfied with it as they once were). A good firewall (like Zone Alarm's free one) can also do wonders for your computer. Just make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM if you choose to get one.

By the way, I've heard reports of this happening on MegaVideo before. Sometimes, ads get by them that are full of malicious content. If you can remember which ad it was, consider reporting it.

How were you able to alter the editor when AGS is closed source?
#125
The easiest way to go about this would be if the AGS engine could be ported to ScummVm. Unfortunately, that would require making AGS open source, which is clearly not going to happen. Still, if it were ported to ScummVm, the games could be played on just about any platform...

Why don't you use this as an excuse to reformat with Linux?
#127
A google search seems to show few results. I found this.

If this site doesn't work, you can try Malwarebytes (found at http://www.malwarebytes.org/) Malwarebytes is an excellent anti-malware program that has saved my system from reformat. Just boot up your system in safe mode and do a full scan.

Hope this helps.

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

That was one of the best movies I've seen.

Although I'm sure most everyone has already seen it, I'd suggest Stand by Me. Great movie with the late River Pheonix.

Also, for a hilarious movie, see the Woody Allen classic Sleeper.

Nah, the out of sync audio was consistent throughout. Also, I checked the fps on both videos and they matched.
#131
Yeah, I did that shortly after starting this thread. I was able to delay the second video by a half of a second. That way, when I put the videos together, I got perfect timing. I got it on the first guess. Still, there has to be a better solution then this. Something was obviously causing the sync issues. I'd like to be able to figure out what it was so that this won't happen again.

I'd also like to point out that it didn't matter which clip I put first. It was always the one that I'd added second that was out of sync.

General Discussion / Audio/Video Out of Sync
Wed 22/09/2010 03:46:28
I have AVI files that I would like to join together. I ran them both separately through VirtualDub and told it to do full processing mode for the audio as I was getting an error message otherwise. I was then able to merge the two files together, but am now faced with an audio/video sync error. If I view each video separately, the audio and video are in sync. However, when merged, the audio of the second video loses sync.

Can anyone come up with a solution to this problem? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I was instructed on MyCE to create a new profile. I'm not sure what it did, but everything works now. Thanks you all for your help!

What I meant is that I've tried using several older versions of Firefox. I haven't tried Firefox portable. When I said compatibility issue, I was referring to the add-ons compatibility with different versions of Firefox.
#135
I've tested it with 2 other versions of Firefox. It's definitely not a compatibility issue.

I must say that I DO prefer Chrome. It is by far my browser of choice. Anyway, back on topic. I'm really only trying to use firefox for Net Videohunter. It seems capable of downloading flv's and mp3's from just about any site (even those that are unknown). The way I see it, I have two choices. I can get Net Videohunter working in Firefox, or I can find an extension that works just as well for Chrome.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
#137
So I just installed Firefox 3.6.9 from the Mozilla web page. For some reason, none of the add-ons are working. I've tried installing several (including a few that work on my other computer), but they just won't work. They show up in my add-ons tab, but they can't be used. For example, Net Videohunter is supposed to display a small blue icon in the bottom right corner. I've also noticed that neither the AVG toolbar or link scanner are working.

Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks.

Thanks all for your response. I can finally sleep now that I know what the song is called.

I've got another question that I hope someone can help me with. I recently discovered 3D videos on YouTube, and have since decided to convert my movies into 3D (using red/cyan). I've been following this guide located at http://www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos/how_upgrade_your_2d_movies_3d. The video works as would be expected, but for some reason, the audio is always out of sync. I've tried this on several different files, but this keeps happening. There are two movies I've tried that I was successful able to convert. Can someone explain how to fix this? Thanks.

I found a copy of the song on an old mix CD that someone had burned for my brother a few years ago. There are no track names, but I was able to upload the song.

I would be grateful if anyone can help!

I've got a difficult question that I believe NO ONE here can answer. I've been looking for a song for a few years now. It's entirely instrumental. It mainly consists of an electric jazz piano playing a jazzy riff over and over. The guitar only does a fast pick of a chord only once in a while. I believe that the song came from the 70's, as that's the style, but I can be completely wrong about that. That's all I really remember about the song. If anyone can help, I'd be very VERY grateful.
