General Discussion / Re: Euro 2004
Sun 13/06/2004 02:21:33
Tomorrow (actually, it's already today) England will comfortably beat France, and Switzerland will destroy Croatia.
Russia lost, but I still think they will qualify from the group and hopefully win the championship (I bet on that, in fact). They only have to beat the weary Portugal and our brothers Greeks will win against Spain (sorry FarlanderÃ,  ;D).

First of all, I LOVE GREECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I put my money on them and they beat Portugal, so now I'm rich! Yey!
Anyway, since my country is out, now I'm rooting for Russia, Greece and Bulgaria. Bulgaria has three players from Serbia, two of them in the first team.
And now I'm gonna read all the messages in this thread.

This is... disgusting. But there are some funny moments (only in the first one).

Very interesting topic, and some very very very nice answers  ;) I totally agree with Moresco and Peter Thomas - I don't believe in premarital sex.

General Discussion / I am (kinda) back
Tue 13/04/2004 01:46:56
Greetings, people! I'm sure some people on this forum still remember me  ;D Anyway, I was on a loooong vacation and now I'm back in full force. I've been working on a game, it was going pretty slow, but I'm going to increase the efforts.
Anyway, did anything interesting happen here in the last 2-3 months? If so, point me to the appropriate thread. Long live AGS!  ;D

Vel likes Uriah Heep, so he's in my cool book.

I have started to work on ISN 2. Like in part one, I'll first release the introduction as a small non-playable demo.
What I need is someone to compose a short (around two minutes or something) music theme for the title screen. The titles will roll over a picture of a refrigerator, mainly because the game's full title is ISN 2: Curse Of The Refrigerator In The Apartment Of Terror. Not surprisingly, the game will follow Swedegard Norwayson as he tries to solve the case of a haunted refrigerator. I don't have any special requests for the theme, but it is recommended that there is something "mysterious" to it (you know, like The X-Files theme or something). Also, if there are any more sequels, this theme will be used in them as the official ISN franchise theme, so anyone who does the job will provide great fame, fortune & glory for him/herself.
If you want to help, send me a private message with your e-mail address, so that I can send you a link with the portion of the intro I made so far (it's a very early and unpolished version, but it will help you to get into the game's atmosphere and stuff).

The idea sounds decent enough (I LOVE flesh-eating zombies!). Don't screw it up, y'hear?  ;)

Actually, I found the joke pretty funny (and I don't even celebrate Christmas today).

General Discussion / Re:"Foreign" Movies

Hehe, most of his life Stanley Kubrick made "foreign" movies  ;D

Anyway, here are some recommendations:

The man without past (Finland)
Tito and me (Yugoslavia)
Who's that singing over there? (Yugoslavia, this one's a true classic)
Brotherhood of the wolf (France)
Hard-Boiled (Hong Kong, John Woo's best film and the best action film EVER)
The postman (Italy)
The monster (Italy, by Roberto Benigni)
etc.

Heh, tell me.. Is it inspired by the Nordic Region.. I keep finding the word Norway, swede, and a finnish name there :P
Swedegard Norwayson

Hehe, well done :-) That was the general idea, SWEDEgard NORWAYson, a SCOTLAND Yard inspector from FINLAND. Hilarious, eh?

It was fun how you got the stuff going on IRL, like Bush and Saddam :P

Thanks!

But you should NEVER do any favors, because, come on.. What's in for the player? :P

The feeling of accomplishment? :-)

Hmm.. About the cheese stuff, you could've added something funny about the cheese before he left.

I ran out of inspiration.

Hmm... Also, you didn't scare the player. At least not me. So we'll dare to play it... Ok... Just coming with tips :)
Well, you may THINK you were not scared, but actually that game has affected your subconscious(ness?) and you'll have severe psychological problems from playing it.

Btw.. After the intro, the backgrounds seemed bolder. What went wrong??! I liked the intro background!!11
It's simple - I HATE drawing on computer. The first backgrounds were that one and the cat poison screen, after that I just quickly drew the stuff so I can finish the game.

Oh damn.. I'm stuck now! I'm on a chesstable... hints...? is this a bug? I can't go back!

Yes you can. Just go down.

Thanks for the comments   :)

Wow! These screenshots look fantastic, so I'm downloading the demo right now! The pictures remind of those old Japanese games like Cobra Mission, but yours look much better. Good work!

The name of Aleksandar (that's me) creates an extravagant, ambitious nature with the desire for financial prominence. You desire the best in life and appreciate quality in all things. This name has made you rather aggressive, shrewd, and critical and has caused you to be extremely independent. You have the analysis, vision, and promotional ability to make progress. You could achieve heights of success in business, but there is also a factor which brings many forced changes and friction with people, which in turn offsets the success you could achieve.

One (terrorist) down, three (Bin Laden, Bush & Blair) to go.

Hah, by far the BEST thing in 80's are DIRE STRAITS! Mark Knopfler is the guitar king.

Hmmm... if I remember correctly, the solution to your problem has something to do with WOOD.

Btw, Spyros, when is the final version going to be released? Haven't heard from you in a long time  :)
