For Andail: Me, I'm from former Yugoslavia (more precisely - Bosnia, but I rarely mention that since I kinda hate being called a Bosnian). Most people here are pretty conservative (though not many of them are religious), so you may imagine why I'm such a homophobic bastard. Ã, :)

For Yakk: Very good point! If you read my comments, I don't think you'll notice I ever said anything against ANYONE, I only expressed my views on the homosexuality. Heck, looks like only Peter Thomas is not offended by my comments Ã, ;D And Farlander, too. Well, also Wanderlady and Guybrush. And a few others. Oh well...

OK, I feel I have to clarify my opinion here, before someone else calls me an idiot. Not that I'm offended or anything, heck, you should hear the words my friends and I use to call each other  :)

1. I believe homosexuality is wrong. It's that simple. It's my opinion. It's not gonna change if I come here and pretend I'm "politically correct" and say "Hey, it's OK to be gay, let's all be one happy little community!". So, I'm only stating my opinion.

2. I did NOT compare homosexuality to murder. I merely used murder as a weird example. Probably could have found a better one, though.

3. By condemning HOMOSEXUALITY I by no means condemn HOMOSEXUALS (notice the difference?). I know Graham Chapman was a gay and I still enjoy Monty Python. I know Clive Barker is gay, yet I just LOVE some of his stories / books (Weaveworld ROCKED!). They say Caravaggio was a gay, and I still love almost all of his paintings. They say the same for Marcel Proust, and Swannsway is still one of my favorite books. And so on, and so on...

4. I didn't mention this before - my opinion on anal sex is that it is wrong in all possible incarnations, including the man-woman thing.

5. One more thing (I probably forgot to answer to many people, I'll try tomorrow, I'm kinda tired today because I spent hours and hours playing Blair Witch: Elly Kedward Tale. And I finished it!  :)) :
If you think that when two men decide to have a homosexual relationship, it is no wrong because they don't harm anyone and it's their own business what they do with their bodies, answer me this: Can we call incestuos (sp?) relationship between brother and sister wrong if they both agree to do it? One answer I DON'T want to hear is "Are you nuts, you damn four-eyed freak? Are you really comparing incest with homosexuality???".

Well, I pretty much go by The Book in this one  :) There are many things that are wrong, but doing a wrong thing doesn't make you a bad person. Wrong things with wrong intentions, however, do. I think.
Just to be original, I'll mention one thing - I think cursing your parents, or being impolite to them, or disrespecting them in any way is very very very very wrong. If there's a thing in my life I'd change, I'd take back everything I ever said that made my father or mother feel bad. Ooops, I didn't get too pathetic here, I hope...

Anyway, Peter, you're NOT gay until you have had sex with another man.

Does that also means a man isn't heterosexual until he has had sex with a woman?Ã,  Ã, ;D

What a stupid thought.

Well, I was kinda expecting that kind of question. I believe everyone's normal by default (normal means more that heterosexual, because if you have sex with your sister, you're still heterosexual), until they do something that violates that, shall we say, normality (something like having sex with another man, or a close relative, or an animal, or a plant, or a kitchen appliance,...). Or do you think imagining someone dead makes you a murderer?

I also think that using examples from animal world doesn't prove anything. Heck, I was hoping someone from the "opposite side"  ;D would use that so I can make a witty reply, but oh well...

Btw, hi WanderLady, long time no see! I'm extremely sorry for still not replying to that mail, I was away from my comp for too long. I'll write you soon (promise).

(this is a reply to the FIRST post, the one where Peter "comes out of the closet", I still don't go into the religious discussion that followed, but if that heats up, I might as well join  :) )

Dang! Rats! Blast it! I know everyone will hate me, but I am sorry to hear that. I remember that thread about premarital sex, where Peter posted some very good messages, so I kinda thought... Bah, I don't know. Anyway, Peter, you're NOT gay until you have had sex with another man. So, I guess you still have time  ;D RIGHT? I mean, you still haven't...? Or...? I mean, you do understand tha being gay includes... *gulp* ANAL SEX?

Well, I bought a bas guitar about two weeks ago (I'm 25 and if you tell me I'm too old to start playing an instrument now, I'm gonna kill you). It's Fender Squier P-Bass. Nice white colour, they say it's a good one for beginners. Since I've been playing with it for only two weeks, naturally I suck. I can play some easy things, like Nirvana's Come As You Are. I'm currently practising Money (by Pink Floyd) and Riders On The Storm by Doors. I don't know why everyone wants to play guitar. Bass seems endlessly more interesting to me. Hitting an open E string really hard is one of three biggest pleasures in life (the other two are eating and sleeping, naturally).
I hope I'll find someone to make a band, but it's not gonna be easy. Everyone here likes only classic rock, and I'd like the band to be more progressive, with looooooong jams and even some ambient parts. Kinda like Can, that great German art rock band.

I have the Squier Precision bass, too. The black one with the white pickguard. It's a really great bass for the price.

Here's what you can do to turn it into an even better bass:

1. Replace the pickups with Bassline ones. (they make specific replacements pickups)
2. Line the inside with more aluminum foil (and put electrical tape over that to prevent it from shorting)
3. Play that funky music, white boy.

Hey, thanks for the tips! When I was in the music store, I saw "your" bass right next to mine. It was a bit more expensive, so I bought this one.

Btw, a question for all you guitarists and bassists: Do you prefer to play with your fingers or you use a pick?

Is this only a neat trick to get our attention off of something called EDGE OF REALITY, eh BlakeÃ,  ;D?

Hey, I remember that game! I played it for a pretty long time, but never managed to finish it. It's probably one of the better adventure games, even counting the PC ones. I remember great music. When you're done with your site, be sure to send me a link.

Well, if I can really really REALLY mention only one movie (as the title of the thread suggests), then I'll go with THE OMEN. Totally creepy from the beginning till the end, disturbing music, and some truly frightening scenes (Billie Whitelaw's eyes before killing Lee Remick, the very last scene, etc.).
There's also this fantastic, but less known, movie called SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT (not to be confused with Silent Night, DEADLY Night), I recommend everyone to see it.

I like Russia very much, so I'm going to blame the referees for their defeats.

Damn! My Internet connection was broken for the past few days, so I was unable to post here  :( Anyway, my heart burns with joy now! Greece RULES! And, needless to say, I won some money again (I bet on X-2, meaning that it was going to be draw after the first half and then the Greeks would win, which is exectly what happened, hehe), so this championship was definitely a success. Yippe!

A few more things:

1) Many people say "This is really a surprise!", "Nobody knew Greece was going to win" and similar crap. Well, I bet on Greece in every single game, except the one with Russia (the only game they lost).

2) I reeeeeaaaaly don't understand those accusations about Greece not playing attractive football. I mean what the hell? I really enjoyed watching their fast transitions, accurate passes and everything else. And they were one of few teams on the tournament that weren't trying to walk in the net with the ball - when they reach 16 - 17 meters, they SHOOT. And you can't score if you don't shoot. I don't see why iz Czech or Portuguese football more "attractive" than Greek.

3) Otto is a genius. But probably even more, a great psychologist. I heard about many many problems in the team (like Nikolaidis trying to buy AEK and other players boycotting him and stuff), hardly anyone thought they'd even go to quarterfinals and they still like WON THE TOURNAMENT! How groovy is that?

Bah, it's getting late, so I'll quickly finish this with a joke I invented myself:
Q: Why is Bulgarian team so bad?
A: Because they have two players from Serbia in first 11!
Mwahaahahahhahahahahahahhahahahah!! Good, eh? Anyway, congratulations to everyone from Greece and long live Greek Orthodox Church!

Mwahahahahahahah!!! The curse is broken and I finally won again!!! I bet on Greece and they won! I LOVE Greece! I even have some Greek blood in my veins! Damn, I'm happy!
Anyway, it happened six or seven times on this tournament that the team I bet on leads and then loses the lead in the last ten minutes. Fortunately, that didn't happen last night.
Now Denmark has to beat Czech Republic (which is gonna be easy, because Czech defence can't stop Tomasson, Gronkjaer and Jorgensen) and Holland must win against Sweden and I will get... lots of money. Yey!

I have to go to lunch quickly, so I'll be very brief:
Denmark beats Sweden, Bulgaria and Italy are going to draw. Probably 1:1.
See you tonight.

I wrote a long post last night, but my connection broke and I wasn't able to send it. Damn  :(
To sum it up, I thought Santini was teh stupidest coach on EURO 2004, but it turned out to be Inaki Saez.
And I finally won some money again - I bet on England last night :-) And I predicted that Russia was going to beat Greece. Easy.
Anyway, jaz's suggestion is cool, so I'm gonna start a new thread with my predictions for the rest of the Championship. If you wanna earn some money, just bet exactly the opposite.

First of all, yet another robbery against a "small" football nation. I'm certainly not a fan of Croatia, but I have to admit they fully deserved to win. The ball clearly hit Trezeguet's hand before that second goal. I'm disappointed with the way France played today, quite simply put - they SUCKED. And Jacques Santini is an idiot. He has one substitution left and instead of Louis Saha (one of the fastest attackers on the tournament, who would be extremely useful against the slow Croatian defence) he puts in Willy Sagnol, probably the WORST defender they had. Look at his reaction near the end of the game, when Mornar should have scored. I mean what the hell? I don't know why is he still in the Bayern's first team.
And yes, I predicted an easy win for France, fortunately I haven't placed any bets on that. However, I'm gonna do that tomorrow, and I'm betting on Bulgaria. Denmark and Sweden are probably going to draw.

(P.S. I think England scored their second goal after a foul by Vassel.)

Bah! Russia were robbed. AGAIN! I hate this competition already. And it's not because I'm losing large amounts of money. Now I can only root for Greece and Bulgaria.
Well, at least Croatia is going to lose tomorrow...

And I lost my money again! DAMN! Denmark played badly and couldn't beat that joke od the Italy team. And Bulgaria... well, I still believe they will overcome this loss and go to the second round.
Tomorrow Letonia beats Czech Republic!

The most shocking defeat I've ever had the misfortune to witness.

For me it was the SECOND most shocking, right after Yugoslavia was robbed against Spain four years ago.
Anyway, this day sucked. England lost, Croatia didn't, my money's gone... I hope tomorrow will be better. Denmark has to beat those damn Italians and even though I like Sweden very much, I hope Bulgaria will beat them. It's gonna be a great game, anyway. Some of the best European strikers play for Sweden. On the other hand, I've seen only one game Bulgaria played recently, and it was that crappy defeat by Croatia, so I don't know much about their strength.
And Beckham SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn, I'm pissed off! He sucks as a midfielder, he sucks as a scorer, but have you noticed that he was very good as a full back today? Weird. They should have kicked Neville out and let Beckham play the right defender  :)
Anyway, I'm off to watch Detroit...
