I tried extending the sound that were cut and it worked!
So thanks a lot.
The only problem now is that it's going to take a while to make the silence in the end of the sound the right length. But i can live with that...

The fomat mp3 so that should not be a problem.
AGS just begins the next the sound and speech before the sound playing is finished playing...
What commands do I use to switch the settings?
I thought about making the speech text skip later with the wait function but then the player would have to wait for no reason if he/she clicked the mouse the skip the speech...

I am just playing around with some voice in my game.
The characters speak and the sound files are played when they should, but the text skips and the next line starts playing before the first sound is finished.
Is there anyway to make AGS wait to skip to the next text line until the first voice sound is through?
I've searched the forums and manual but i can't seem to find the answer anywhere!

For those who need it, here a walkthrough:

Spoiler

Interact with vomit.
Interact with plant.
Interact with matches on bar.
Take string on chair.
Use match on joint (in inventory).
Talk to ghost until you get "give me the answer...".
Use string on coin (in inventory).
Use coin on quiz machine.
Talk to bartender and buy a beer.
Use pills on beer.
Talk to the drunk 4 times, choosing "cheers, mate!"
Give your beer to the drunk.
Take the screwdriver.
Look at the fusebox.
Use the screwdriver to remove the two screws.
Interact with the lid.
Take the key.
Give the key to the bartender.
Go back to the fusebox.
Use the knife on the loose wire.
Turn the switch. Go back.
Go through the kitchen door.
Kick the bottle.
Use the matches on the booze.

There you go and thanks for playing...

I'm downloading now. I can't wait to hear the voice pack.
But man, it takes forever to download. I'm half wait through and there's still more than an hour to go...

EDIT: I've downloaded and finished the game and I must say it was worth the wait! It makes the game even better with the voices. Really great game!
Will there also be a deluxe version of Apprentice 2 some day? That would also be great...

Word up, people.
After doing some serious drinking on the subject I (as a couple of others) decided to re-release my game from the One Room, One Week competition - The Bar.

You play as agent Sully Sharp who is sent to a bar downtown to find out if the Alien Marfia is hidding dope there.

The game is short, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway!

Abisso - Thanks a lot for that list. It is very useful, but man did I miss a lot of bugs. I will fix the game one of these days.

The bug everybody is talking about is also very anoying to me and the one where you can't interact with the hose and the crate is also killing me because i can't figure out what's wrong. If someone have any clue what's wrong I would love some help!

The quest wasn't as hard as seemed.
Walkthrough:
Stand up and walk to entrence. Pick up jacket.
Open jacket => you find a wallet.
Look in wallet => You find a joint and think: "This is not legal!"
Get a grip.
Walk into the livingroom again and say: "Hello friends. Look what I've found in the bathroom!"
Show friends the joint => One of the friends say: "I'm too drunk to resist!"
(Everybody is ready to puff the magic dragon)
Pick up lighter in your pocket
Use lighter on joint
Use joint on EGO
Say the words: " DaHjaj 'oH QaQ jaj!
Watch some psycho complete Super Mario Bros 3 in 11 minuttes!
Get totally stoked!

Right now I'm at a meeting with my group from university. We had a couple beers and suddenly an amazing opertunity (sorry about ze spelling) has come up. And now this question has entered my head:

How to ask your friends if it is ok that you smoke some weed while watching Mario Bros 3 being completed in 11 minutes?

I also want to give my opinion on SOAD:
Their music is allright, a little too popish at times for my taste. I agree that they are great musicians and they also have a very good production. I still think they are a little overrated though.
I agree with most of their lyrics but I don't think they're all that great maybe except for Prison Song (their best song IMO, far above the rest!). There's many other potical bands with far better political lyrics. I find it great that SOAD take a stand awrite their opinion since a lot of metal bands seems to be stuck in some fantasy world filled with dragons and brave knights. No offense.

Ugh. If you think Battle Royale is a so crappy it's funny movie, I shall murder you.

I've actually talked this over with a couple of friends before. All the people I know who've seen Battle Royal thinks is's totally crappy. But since alot of people other places in the world doesn't agree with this I guess it deals with some cultural values that I don't understand. Could anyone explain why this movie is not crappy? I especially find it hard to justify the ending where Takeshi Kitano gets up to answer the phone.
Maybe I should add that I normally enjoy Asian movies...


BTW I also think that the original Night of the Living Dead is great movie in the original sense of the word.

State Property and Space Muntiny sound like they would be very good company. I'm going to watch those one day.

Arnold S. is the main reason I've falling these kind of movies.  Hercules in New York is his best IMO and also his first. If you do not find that movie funny I don't know what is!

But he also has some really great lines in Commando:
"You're a funny guy, Sully... That's why i'm gonna kill you last!"
Later in the movie: "Hey Sully, you remember when I told you I would kill you last... I lied!"

and End of Days after being accused as a liar:
"I know what I hört!" <- one of my favorite quotes

This question might sound silly but a couple of my friends and me like watching movies that are funny while trying to be serious. But it's kind of hard to find these movies if you don't know anyone else who knows someone who know of the movie... You get the point!
What I'm looking for are movies that are so crappy that they are great. I hope you know what I mean.
So does anyone in here know some really stupid movies worth watching?

I'm talking about something along the lines of
Hercules in New York (the undubbed version is the greatest movie ever made IMO)
Boa vs Python (just plain stupid)
Battle Royal (the ending makes it all worth while)
ect...

First of all thanks for all the nice crits! I'm very happy and overwhelmed (not sure about the spelling) that so many people enjoys the game.
The second chapter is in the thinking progress right now! When I get futher I'll post in the Games in Production forum!

The first time I got that error message I was getting close to the closet or coming out of it.Ã,  Ã, I got it a second time but did not even have time to react.Ã,  I just got kicked out of the game and back to my I.Explorer where I downloaded the game.Ã,  But I went back into winsetup, save and run, and was back at the beginning of the game. Had to wait for intro and then went to my last saved game.

Damn, I still can't find this bug myself. I guess I'll just have to test the game untill it shows up...
BTW You can skip the intro by pressing ESC!

Andy (and others) - I've tried to remove the bug on the crate and the hose, but somehow AGS won't let me. This one is also mentioned in the READ ME file. if you don't get an answer from interacting with an object then it's a bug, and you should try clicking elsewhere on the object until you get an answer!

Ozzie - I didn't see that video I was just refering to LSL. I'll watch it when I get home!
