Messages - He-Man

#241
Hi
I also found the game totally great. Very artistic in a way.
I almost wish I had some weed. I bet that would make the experience even better.
#242
...Because He-Man is the master of the Universe and that is cool!

YYEEEAAAAAAAHR!
#243
It looks ok to me. I wouldn't mind if he was a little taller.
I'd love to see a Dott sequel if you can pull it of!
#244
hi
You are certainly improving your style. This is a master piece compaired to your first room.
I like the shaddows.
If the brown blocks in front are buildings then maybe you should add more details and some perspective to them...

Hello
It's been a while since I last wrote something in this forum, mostly because I haven't had the time.
Well, while being bored the other day in school I drew a couple of characters, so I thought it would be funny to convert them into adventure game characters (maybe for later use in a game):

Ã,  Ã, andÃ,  Ã,
Ã,  Ã,  Ã, A punkÃ,  Ã, Ã,  andÃ,  Ã, a drunk student

What do you think about them?

Hello there.

Mafioso Over Kill (made by the most powerful man in the universe) should also be in the non-adventure game section!
But on the other side, it's not like it's going to win anything.

Cheers

Critics' Lounge / Re: Which Chapter Screen?

I think both screens are great, but I also think the first one is the best...

On the font issue I would surgest that you use the same font as the one saying "Part I..." all the way through.
I also surgest that you move the entire "chaper I"-thing into the black area...

General Discussion / Re: 9-11 Over?
Mon 13/09/2004 15:40:34
First of all do not support terrorism in any way and I think 9/11 was very terrible.
I think the saddest thing about 9/11 is that even though 3 years have past the American government has done absolutly nothing (at least for what i know) to figure out why a lot of people hate America so much that they are willing to kill them selves and hundreds of others for that cause.
The bush administation just keep invading new countries and killing people. Trying to find scapegoats instead of even considering their own flaws. It's no wonder that people get so desperate that they feel that the only solution is terrorism. And the simpathy that everybody had towards America after 9/11 now has turned into even more hate than before 9/11.
I still believe that no one is born evil. I believe when you see your family and friends die from hunger or war or what ever because of some money hungry nation wants to police the globe you turn desperate.
I think we'll have to remember 9/11, but i also think that we should learn from it. As well as I think we should learn from World War II and any other part of history. No one seems to do that...

I also want to join this insane threat...

Thanks!
It's now working and I get the newest version of AGS!

Really cool background!
Maybe you could add a more buildings in the background or some clouds.
That would also make the telephone line look less like the roof of the toystore...

Critics' Lounge / Re: Watchman+Grim Reaper

Man, these characters are great!

I think you should keep the first on the Grim Reaper. He's way more evil!
I also agree with YOke on the arms. It would also look more naturel if he had the scyth in his hands instead of on his back!

N3tGraph: The light obviously comes from the Grim Reaper's evil eye!

Amazing work!

hi.

I'm using Proskrito's template.

In one of my rooms I have a mirror.
The scripting uses the same method as described in this thread:

http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=14370.0

The mirror effect works fine when the player character is moving around in the room. But the second the player interact with something in the room the mirror does not move along.
I been trying several things in the script and I know it's caused by the MovePlayer function, but I can't figure out the solution...

Olé!

I just saw this competition and I decided to make a little tune.
I made it really fast so it's crap.
Well, at least I'm the first one to enter...

ENJOY!

Thanks a lot! That did the trick!
I don't why I didn't think of that before...
#257
This might be too simple for this forum, but the forum rules says scripting help...

Anyway, In my game the EGO must go down a stair case in back of the room. I have a region just inside the opening where the stairs start. It has this script:

SetWalkBehindBase (2,300);
MoveCharacterDirect (EGO,200,168);
while (character [EGO].walking) AnimateCharacter (EGO,3,3,0);
Wait (40);
NewRoomEx (7,256,117);Ã,

The walkbehind is located just where the floor stops. Now I want the EGO toÃ,  move down (behind the walkbehind) but keep animating like he's walking up.
The problem is that the EGO doesn't move. He just animate with out moving down.
Please help me out here...

I like this dude!
The backview looks good, maybe the back of his head looks a little like a butt...
I think there something wrong with the left arm in the walking view. It get to far ahead of him. Like the shoulder suddenly grow to double size in one of the frames. Other than that it's really nice...

Thanks for your help so far...

MrMasse: I've tried doing it your way, but somehow it doesn't look right. It's like the round shape of the pipe is lost.
SuperCarrot: I really like your paintover and I might steal the idea. i hope you don't mind...

I could still use some help on the tunnel and the hole into the pipe. As you guys mentioned, it looks pretty bad....

Critics' Lounge / Locker room needs help!
Sun 22/08/2004 20:24:40
hi
During the making of the latest backgrounds for my upcomming game SILENT KNIGHT I ran into a problem, and I thought I would seek your help here inÃ,  the Critics Lounge.

This is supposed to be a locker room where some one has been diging a tunnel into the underground sewer:

I haven't finish the drawing yet i still need to do some shaddows, but I'm not really satisfied with the way the sewer has turned out. How can I improve this?
I could really need a helping hand here...

Thanks
