I made your game, yodaman, but I've decided to go on and publish it without crediting you at all. It's called 'NAZIS AT THE FIRST LAYER OF EDEN' and it rules.
oh yeah? give me the link to it.

I don't know... I've never heard of an electronic musician that respects himself refer to his status as 'DJ', I've heard musicians saying that they've done DJing, but not many say they're predominantly a DJ.

I haven't listened, but I guess he said DJ as in a person who mixes music together for shows? Does it imply he also composed it?

Musically I'm inspired and influenced by: Fates Warning, Confessor, Watchtower, Weakling, Psychotic Waltz, Skepticism, J.S. Bach, Anglagard, Unholy, maudlin of the Well, Cirith Ungol, Candlemass, Gyorgy Ligeti, Demilich, Pelican (early), Sieges Even, Bela Bartok, Venetian Snares, King Crimson, Ioannis Xenakis, In the Woods... and through periods, other bands or artists I get fixated on for a time.

I usually start music by naming the Sonar session after whatever I've decided to rip off at a time. So www.locustleaves.com/music/hellokitty.ogg was originally named 'weakling in the woods' for the opening bit that kinda reminds them, but as usual it degenerates to UGH UGH THRASH METAL with a few zany leads here and there, or slow doom metal, which is the music I'm most comfortable playing.

hellokitty is interesting because it rips off, in succession: in the woods..., weakling, pelican, explosions in the sky, at the gates, shape of despair. Nice going, Helm.

I have no literary aspirations, therefore no inspirations as well.

In comics, I look up to, and occasionally try to rip off Barry W. Smith, A. Pazienza, Yukito Kishiro, Munoz, Breccia, Chris Ware... that sort of thing.

Yeah, lose the backgrounds.

You've gotten better - again. She looks distinctively female, which was your trouble before, pretty and all. You acessorize the characters pretty hardcore, but you've always done that and it has it's charm. Maybe it's time you started working on implying shading with the inking, not just texture. My biggest crit is that right now, there's about even amount of detail all-over. Don't be afraid of white space. Use more detail where you want the eye to be drawn at. And unless you plan to colour everything in a different way, be it pc or whatever, start using black as a tool as well. Right now you're not. Places where you want to imply darkness? Don't be afraid of pure black. Transist between pure black and pure white with various techniques, maybe cross-hatching, maybe feathering, maybe even harsh noise springling, whatever. Try things, your lineart can handle them.

Oh yeah, the head I think is a little small for the body, probably a bit high too, but nitpick.

Buy, and familiarize yourself with the usage of Pro Motion. Or just warez and use deluxe paint 2 if you don't mind dosmode. Gfx2 is an option.. generally, mspaint and the like, even sprite-geared programs like Graphics Gale are not good options for indexed painting art like in the Simon games.

Good luck. It's not like anyone has pixelpushed any adventure game art that looks better than Simon.

I understand people might need help with storylines in specific points if they're stuck or whatever, but dude... write your own game. I wouldn't want to play a game that's written as the product of brainstorming on a forum. It's your game...

Well then go ahead. Script it.
