no idea if he's for real. But boring-ass art.

feel free to be mean to SSH. He likes it.

I don't like Afflict's attitude  :o

My love is free.

I don't seriously think most people in AGS's userbase would suffer from 1024x res support, with a bit of speed optimization* and all.

*this may be the biggest thing preventing :P

Quote#9. This works suprisingly well, considering what you've tried to pull off. I would have cropped it before the trunk gets too shaded.

Agree. Another reason to cut off the excess bark. Right now the middle of the picture is exactly the cheek-on-bark cut, and any teacher of composition will tell you things are more interesting if you avoid perfect centering. Go towards the golden mean.

if this is to have religious significance, please very intentfully work on the fingers so they're not sketchy but precise. This is christianity, and it's all in the hands portraying the alphabet and everything.

Strongly second big brother on drawing this on white paper because unless the tatto is made with a darkened skin color (not on a darkened skin color, with a darkened skin color) and highights are applied above, all you can use are darker registers.

don't zoom with digital cameras. walk the distance you need to get closer to theme. Digital zoom is bane on image quality on all but the more high-end digital cameras. What you're looking for is image quality (how what you see translates to what picture you took) and a degree of pixel-level detail. 4 megapixels are more than enough for an amateur.

nice to see the "it's not easy being the best" marketing motto going strong. Go, Atlas, it's not easy being the best (and only) guy carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.

political freedoms aren't very difficult to agree on for most of the western world. Depends on the point of view, but between andail, big brother, farlander and most other that post in this thread, I'm pretty sure they all agree on basic human rights and liberties, freedom of speech, press, voting and so on

Farlander, I am reffering to The Patriot Act, not acting like a patriot in general.

can I still comment on the 'america is freer or is she?' thing?

Political freedom is not hard to define. The ability to congregate on social or political issues, to speak one's mind about such aspects without fear of censorship of even worse, persecution from govermental or semi-govermental elements, the freedom of vote, etc. Textbook stuff, no?

Therefore, any democratic country which doesnt enforce the Patriot Act or a variation of the form offers more political freedom to it's people than the US does.

Agree?

Igor: I see, yeah I gave it some thought and you're probably correct in that approach.

Nikolas: people like Igor don't need other users sticking up for their artistic choices. I'm fully aware of how good he is and that's why I didn't just complement him and move on but instead gave him critique.

wow don't bring Occam's razor in when discussing sociological effects! That hurts my brain!

I see how you use the 'why' thing, you've done it before in similar situations. I agree a cover-up of this magnitude seems not exactly probable at all. My uninformed opinion is that the terrorist attack happened with no knowledge or at least not full wide-spread knowledge in the US administration beforehand, but was, and is still exploited by the current administration very expertly and as much as possible at all times.

I can picture a high-ranking official (or more than one) in the whitehouse receiving a phone-call 24 hours beforehand and getting the news of what will happen and then just saying 'ok' and putting the phone down, calculating the possible benefits. I can see that. I can't see Bush discussing it with his think tank around beers and pretzels and going 'tomorrow 10,000 americans die lol! We're totally going to use this good, but uh, guys, keep it on the lowdown, ok?'
